Trouble is, now I've done all of this, what else am I going to do to nest? I'm 32 weeks on Sunday.

If you have freezer space, how about doing some batch cooking and freezing meals in microwaveable plastic containers? You really won't want to be cooking during the first few weeks of babyhood (and you won't have time either), so having some easy access food available could save you a small fortune on takeaways and ready meals.... :)

Good idea Nutella. I've not really cooked a meal since being pregnant (couldn't face it in the early days of morning sickness, and then would get tired when I'd get home from work later on in the pregnancy), so have trained Moon to do the meals (I buy the food and tell him what to cook, and sometimes how to do it - his Mum was of the generation where a man doesn't cook, so he never really got taught how, and his bachelorhood food left a lot to be desired). I suppose though that he will probably be just as tired as me, especially when he goes back to work, so will have to start planning these things. I think somewhere I've got a month's worth of mealplans saved too, which'll stop me reaching for easy options cos I can't think of what to have.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Just a quick update, Joshua was born at 21:17 on 25/07/12. Didn't go as planned, but he's absolutely gorgeous and worth everything he's put us through. Will post more details soon. Hope my due date buddies are having mummy cuddles as well.

    Morning,

My cousin and his wife had DD at 3am via c sec a healthy 7lb 11, called her Katy Ruby. :T

I am pleased for them as they have had such a hard time during the pregnancy and at one point wernt sure if they should go ahead with it.

Congratulations Robyn, love the name :)

Cooler here this morning, so pleased as it was a really hot night and i had to get up twice to pee as i just keep drinking so much, i supose it doesnt help that i drink a glass of water everytime i wake up in the night too.

    Have a lovely day/weekend everyone

  • Wooo hooo Robyn - huge congrats on baby Joshua!! Love the name!

I've got a very lazy boy who seems more than happy to stay inside! He's also officially an Olympic baby whatever day he comes now, he can wear his Olympic babygrows with pride!! LOL Go team GB!!

Got the midwife @ hospital this morning for 41 week appoint, so will find out if lil monkey has made any progress to come out or not and options re sweep etc.

Hope everyone is still managing in this heat....! i've taken to hibernating in my house which is really dull but better than overheating! I've also taken my wedding ring off which I think some of you have also done. Fingers were getting way too swollen.

We ended up sleeping downstairs in the living room last night! Dragged the mattress, pillows and sheets down there. Best night sleep I've had for ages! It's just more difficult to get up from!

It was far cooler downstairs and we had a bit of a problem with one of our cats yesterday so she's not allowed out but the rest are which is very dificult to manage. Poor thing had a grass seed in her eye - it was well over an inch long. The vet removed it and kept it to show everyone as she was so impressed by its size. Now 10 days of drops and she has to have a check up again tomorrow. Poor little baby.
