OMG what a bl00dy farce my Doctors are.
After them panicking me about some test results yesterday, they agreed a Doc would ring me at 10am this morning.

So I'm sat, phone in hand, at 9:50 until 10:30 (whilst at work and getting into trouble for not seeing customers) and it doesn't ring, so I rang them and get told off by the receptionist as they tried to call at 10:10 but I didnt answer! B0llox I told her, I've been waiting for the call, and can they ring again please.

After another 2 hours I'd given up and was with a customer at work when she rings :| So I rang back as soon as I could to be told off again for not answering! Apparently being at work and not able to wait around all day is not a good enough excuse. So now she's ringing me at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Grrr I'm annoyed.

Also, (sorry if TMI!) the old hole from my belly button piercing (which I removed over a year ago) is really itchy and a little bit of pus is leaking from it, should I mention to Doc/Midwife, or is there a cream I can use to relieve it?

Good luck and labour vibes to all boldies... I can't wait for my turn!

Millie I would try cleaning the hole with some boiled water with salt dissolved in it - this was recommended to me when my ears got infected after I had them pierced. Won't do any harm to bubs either then. I would also mention it to dr as if they do think it serious, they may be able to prescribe an antibiotic, whereas the mw won't.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Congratulations Lixi. :0)

Thanks littlemoog. i totally agree with you. i always go there for my normal bras and dont know what possessed me to go to mothercare and measured weirdly there? i def am going back there. dont they say though not to wear underwiring as they interfere with the milk ducts or something?

ooh are they cheaper on fig leaves then? same size as bravissimo?

they have a lot of the same brands, Freya, Panache etc, and there are vouchers/email offers so often that if you wait til one comes out you can normally get 20% off and free delivery. Re: milk ducts, if your wires fit properly (flat against the chest, not pressing on any breast tissue), I've been told they're fine. The girl who measured me at Bravissimo helped me choose a couple of bras that had a little growing room in the cups, but fitted well around the band, and seemed quite knowledgable. Cups now getting tighter, and on loosest hooks, so going back for a refitting. My general rule is that if they get a tape measure out you're in the wrong place for a bra fitting, as it's not reliable for larger sizes. M&S spent years fitting me as a 40/42 DD/E, and when I fitted properly at Bravissimo I was a 36FF! The difference in my figure and back ache was amazing.

  • Milliebob I was gonna suggest salt water just to wash it, but was beaten by Sexymouse! If it's old, it may just be the skin has stretched a bit and needs a good clean inside. If its worrying you mention it when you speak to the dr. Mine has a thick stretch mark up it, looks a bit like a bunny lol. Was itching loads the other day just above it but not noticed any gunk. Hugs for the daft drs, like we have nothing better to do than sit around waiting!

Rups I don't know how big you are up top. I got the tankini from next in a 14 and I'm 38E. There was plenty of coverage and plenty of material to cover more if they grow. You can take it back to the shop wth no problems or post it back.

Debenhams have some tankini's on their sale as well but unfortunatley no longer free delivery for any order amount, must be over £30 or collect from store. None the less, I will have to look at one as we've booked a holiday in Brittany when I'm 28 weeks! (if anyone was wondering, ferry companies also get picky about pregnant ladies travelling with them over 28 weeks on the fast ferry and 32 on the slow but it does vary by company)

I've just ordered a pregnancy swimsuit from jojo maman bebe, not in the sale, but pretty reasonable (£26). Free delivery at the moment too! Not sure it will fit as their sizing seems a bit weird. Went for a L which is a 16/18, apparently it has a built in support shelf, so will see if it can cope with my boobs :o. Otherwise I’ll need to find a wired one somewhere.
