Rups that is what they say however as long as the bra fits properly the wire shouldn't be on your breast anyway.

  • Glad all went well Moneypuddle. I thnk time is going quickly, weeks are sneaking by :o Good you both like surprises. I don't cope well with surprises. I mean if OH comes home tonight with a choccy bar or something of course that's fine. But I know I'm having a baby so I need to know as much as I can so that I can prepare etc. I can't cope with knowing there is a surprise coming IYSWIM?

Bras I'm on non wired ones now. Even though wired ones seemed to fit well I just found them uncomfortable. Might be worth trying one on in the shop. I do find the non-moulded ones comfy, but they aren't the most flattering or uplifting lol. I know some of you ladies are bigger than my E cups so may find the same. I'm going for comfort now, or better still being at home, not planing any visitors just go without ;)

Have been busy here, well busy for me. Have really been ruthless. Got two big boxes for charity shop and Sal Army. Found a couple of bits I might put on ebay too. That pile is growing though. Have got someone that wants a couple of items of spare furniture and a couple of bits that I've put on our local facebook group to try and get rid of them. Trying to give away a cot, but can I remember the safe place where I put all the bolts etc.....can I heck :rotfl:

  • Congrats Lixi!

Good luck to all the boldies. I hope things go well/start moving...

I've got my 28wk appt with mw today, and I'm not looking forward to it, as it just feels a bit of a waste of time tbh. They take my urine sample, measure my bp and hear the hb and off I go.Saying that, **warning TMI alert** I've been feeling some dull pain down below for the past week, it's hard to describe but it feels like I've been hit, sort of muscular pain and I'm wondering if that's normal (I'm only 27+6 so not expecting anything to happen in that area right now). I know we get a lot of pains and aches but I'm not sure what/when is normal and when it isn't. How do we know when to call the mw?

On a different subject, how do you know where is the baby? I just get kicked regularly but haven't got a clue of baby's position at any one time.

bikelesschick you will be given blood tests at this appointment to check your iron levels etc too. They can work out roughly where the baby is by palpating your uterus (feeling the bump basically). They should also measure your bump too.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Bikeless I've had dull pains, I think it's just been stretching of the ligaments and stuff. Worth mentioning to your midwife.
At 28 weeks I had bloods done too, I think that's routine for most people so be prepared.
I only know my baby is breech as I had a scan Monday. The 4d scan before that his head was in the lower right bit of my stomach so what i thought was his bum in my diaphragm must be his head. Feel a bit bad for poking it so much now :(Other than that I've had no clue to be honest

Good luck for this afternoon xx

    Good luck AMC and Clarissa!

OMG I'm melting! Tidied and cleaned our bedroom and the baby's room yesterday and put away all the little clothes I'd washed. It needed quite a bit of a sort out as, where we've been decorating non-stop for the last few months, it had become a bit of a dumping ground. But it all looks lovely now!

Cleaned the bathroom today and going to get my new Vax steamer out to do the floor. It will be super CLEAN!

Had my 38 week appointment with the midwife this morning (2 days early) and all is fine. I said about my "show" on Tuesday and she wasn't fussed, said it could happen any time. But good news -- the baby is starting to engage. Bad news -- they've changed me to high risk as she noticed it says on my notes to refer to the medical team once I've gone into labour. The other midwife wasn't bothered but this one was. I thought I'd just have a labour ward birth anyway but she said my pulse (or something) will be monitored on a finger clip while I'm in labour. I asked if this will prevent me having an active labour and she said it shouldn't... So I was a bit down about that.

To finish on a good note -- my kitchen should be finished by the end of the day apart from the vinyl going down on Monday. So I can clean it tomorrow and put all my stuff away over the weekend. Finally!
