LMM I haven't even started reading that book yet! I really want to get into it, but the house still needs my attention so I feel guilty doing anything but that at the minute!

re baby positions/size I often feel like baby is lying sideways, and feel weird movements right across my belly button OH was very pleased when I told him that the midwife said baby is head down at the moment, but when I told him that baby could still turn round at this stage he started lecturing me about slouching and said I shuld make sure I sit up straight to encourage baby!

Nursing bras I'm probably going to get measured by the company that are doing our antenatal classes; think you are supposed to get measured round 37/38 weeks. They should be able to advise you what cup size you will need to look at as your boobs will get bigger again when your milk comes in. Think my boobs are the one thing that I am hoping to keep once I have lost baby weight! I didn't really have boobs before so it is nice that I have some now - albeit that they were only a 34D when I got measured for my maternity bra.

Well, flooring downstairs is nearly finished - OH won't get it done tonight as we're out for my Dad's birthday but it will all be done by tomorrow. Got to wait a couple of weeks before we can put the skirting on though as his Dad is helping with that and he goes away on Friday, but at least the furniture can go back into place and we can get some normality back! Then I can attack upstairs and get the nursery done. My Mum and Dad are round next week to do some bits and pieces of painting - window cills, door frames etc, so by time baby comes along the house should look quite god apart from our bedroom which is a total tip! We did say that we couldn't do everything though and that our room would have to wait!

Boots Baby Event is now back on, lots of diff offers available and it runs until August 21st. Asda baby event should be on soon too so keep your eyes peeled!

I know what a shock for me to be awake at this early hour! I woke and I was wedged by all my pillows on both sides and my legs were stuck too lol. Must have been a sight for OH. Bubba is very excited its morning too so is having some party in there.

Rups hope your hubby didn't wake you when he got in. I think I jumped when mine appeared, but I was fast asleep so don't really remember.
MMM Sounds like your house is coming along quite fast now I'm reading little bits at a time. I can't do too much housey stuff for a long time. So in my little breaks I read a little section or two.
It does seem though as if she had quite a bit financial help here and there from their parents. One bit said that if your parents so baby's grandparents want to put a monthly amount into a trust fund for baby you could suggest they put it into a current account to help buy nappies, food or take the kids places so that you can spend more time with them. not so sure how many people would do that or just think we're being cheeky. but like she said its worth a go!

Going to watch the end of one born every minute. I thought I'd be brave and watch it last night, but fell asleep before the end. Then I think I'll get up before it gets too hot and try and sort some junk out.

Oh just realised I'm 33 weeks today :eek: that sounds so far along!

AMC - good luck. I know an induction isn't what you were hoping for, but personally I thought being induced was fine. It was a much nicer labour for me then when I went into labour naturally, and even with the epidural (which I would definitely recommend) I was up and home within a couple of hours of giving birth. So it doesn't have to be a bad experience. And the main thing is you'll be meeting baby soon

Baby position - mine moves every day. Where she is relatively small she is still flipping about in there. She likes to lie across ways quite often, but then she'll move totally and I'll get the high up kicks.

Nursing bras - as I'm bottle feeding I won't be getting one. My milk tends to go quite quickly anyway. I'll actually be buying some tiny bras as I know my boobs have always shrunk to below their original starting size within 3 weeks of giving birth. I envy anyone who manages to keep their pregnancy boobs, it definitely doesn't happen for me.

I need some bigger bras now though, I'm starting to strain the ones I've got at the seams and they aren't supporting me anymore. DH informed me yesterday that it was fun watching me walk up to the car in his rearview mirror as they were bouncing everywhere

Hope everyone has a good day. It's still horribly hot here, so I plan on staying inside and doing nothing today.

I had another dissapionting MW appointment yesterday. It was my 34 + 2 check and a new MW. For a start she was 25mins late for me and didnt apologise, then she briefly introduced someone else who was in the room but no real idea who she was poss a student i guess but she didnt say. Then i was very quickly asked a couple of questions and had BP taken, MW had a quick feel of bump and then wasnt going to check HB (had this done everytime with previous MW) untill i asked.
My 20 min appointment was rushed through in 5mins and sent on my way.

I know I am well and have no issues but it is my first and I have no idea if I should be doing/asking things by now. I had all the pain relief/Bf leaflets left at the surgery for me the other wk but not had an official chat about it to anyone, even though I know what I want its kind of frustrating being left to it. I didnt even feel like i was welcome to stay for my full 20mins yesterday so just left anyway : (

Anyway thats enough whinging, bump, OH and I are all fit and well so should be grateful. I have started to get excited now and looking forward to holding baby soon. The fear of the unknown has finally started to leave me.

Hope all the quiet Boldies are having cuddles or at least getting there soon.

Hello everyone,

Im having a bit of a downer. Now on day 6 of overdue and still no signs of bubba coming!! Been arguing with hubby mainly from frustration. Not finding being at home that much fun at all. I'd much prefer to be out and about but at that point am nervous about going too far on my own just in case the waters go or labour starts so its pretty much housebound for me and im crawling the walls. Think i have done most of the pre baby tasks except using the sterliser machine. Trying hard not to spend any money too as really broke at the mo which doesnt help!!!

Please ignore my rant... just feeling sorry for myself. Going to hit the cross stitch kit.

LMM, DH did come and wake me up. He has such heavy feet and when he walks up the stairs, does anything in the bathroom, i hear him and when he walked into the bedroom, he stank of alcohol and i am sure he had some sneaky ciggies too which i am not happy about but wont nag him as he says he does it rarely and socially. yuck! then he gave me a quick kiss on my arm and snored away. grrrr... i stayed quiet but as i was awake and it was so hot, i didnt get much sleep. so this morning i woke him up for work and guess what? he isnt going in. so silly.. he better make the most of this stuff now before the baby gets here. lol. men!!!

am a bit uncomfy today with that side belly pain again but its part of me now lol

clarrisa - sorry to hear you are climbing the walls. i am not to that stage yet this is my second week of mat leave and have plenty to keep me busy at mo.

i actually had some period type pains early morning about 4.30am and then again when i woke about 7am. they have worn off now though, i am hoping this is early signs of labour. i will be keeping myself busy today - going for a massage in a minute then i am heading into town to get some stuff and generally gander around the shops. will relax in the afternoon then have a pub quiz to go to tonight.

silly moo and robyn have probably had their babies - cant wait to hear the news
