Morning all!
Going to be a hot one again I think, will get the paddling pool out.
Does everyone wake up wondering if today will be the day?
Am in the house watching telly with my feet raised as they are still quite swollen, dogs are curled up with me.
Had some period type pains last night but that's all stopped so will see what today brings0 -
Clarissa – hang in there, I know it's hard. You've got your sweep tomorrow right? If it doesn't work then try to get another one asap?
I've been having contractions since 3am – think they must be contractions as they are like bad period pains and they're coming about every 10–15 mins now, so things are slowly happening. The second sweep yesterday obviously worked, so Clarissa, don't lose heart, the sweep will hopefully trigger things.
I don't know if this means that I can still have a natural birth as I suppose it depends how quickly things progress but I think I will ring up and ask.
I hope Silly moo and Robyn have had their babies, it seems likely now!

Ooh good luck AMC - hopefully you won't have to have any further induction now if you're already in labour.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Morning ladies... Hope things are progressing nicely for all the boldies...can't wait for it to be my turn.. Not long now.
I'm 37+3, had MW appt yesterday for blood pressure check.. Been told head is still not engaged at all and that I need to try move baby round to a more optimum position, with it's spine outwards. It's head down which is good but it's spine is down the left side of my bump so I've been told to get on all fours with my bum wiggling in air or to sit on birthing ball and rock!
Still no Braxton hicks.. Have a feeling its gonna be a late baby.. It seems quite snug in there!0 -
well eventful trip to the drs this morning, After discussing AD and the the effects it can have on the baby although slim, she is reluctant to put me on tablets. And therefore due to the fact i'm working full time, hardly sleeping and stuggling to cope with everything, she has signed me off for 2 weeks. I was dreading going into work to tell them, my boss is a friend as well as my boss so he knows i've suffered with depression before, he was really good i stayed for an hour to give me chance to sort my current work out as i work on a project team so doing my own bits. So i feel slightly better about doing the handover. He said that without wanting to make me feel worse, as i felt that me having 2 weeks off with only 8 weeks of work left and working to a project deadline i was letting people down, he is expecting the doctor so keep signing me off, so although they are happy for me to come back they will be working towards the fact i might not be back till after the baby. I'm not sure how i feel about that as baby isnt due for 11 weeks and i'm not ready to finish work yet. I know my health is more important so if they doctor signs me off then ok, but i dont know if that will be worse.Mummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012:A - November 2011 (mc)0

AMC - good luck, it definitely sounds like its happening now. Hopefully you'll be in hospital having baby very soon.
snowyz - I agree you should enjoy the rest as best you can. The doc wouldn't sign you off if she didn't think it was necessary. Hopefully you might start to feel a bit better without the added stress of work. See how it goes and if you find it harder not being at work then it sounds like they'll be happy to have you back in.
jen - I didn't engage until 39 weeks with either of my kids, but my daughter arrived at 39+3, so I think it's quite normal. Hope you manage to get baby moving.
jedi - good luck, hope things are starting to happen for you too.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
