    Hi ladies

NikkiAnn - glad all is ok with the baby :) I think it's ALWAYS better to get checked out at hospital if you have any concerns at all about that baby, much better to be over cautious.

Nutshell - I second what Kitten says about hormones playing a big part... but at the same time I can totally relate to in-law stresses!! My in laws seem to have some quite fixed ideas about how we should do things when the baby is here but I am basically ignoring them all.... On a good day they are really lovely people, on a hormonal day they are a nightmare :D

Nessie - love that blanket, it's going to be gorgeous!

Dida - LOVE your nursery, very very cute! Will try to put a pic up later of ours, although it's half a spare room half a nursery. Sorry the sweep was so painful :( but I really really hope it gets things going. I've got a midwife appt tomorrow morning, I wonder if she'll offer a sweep then... I don't really want to have one but I'd MUCH prefer it to induction. Am hoping she'll tell me the head is more engaged than it was a the last appointment, but trying not to get too hopeful!

Girlzmum - sorry to hear about the pain you had last night, but glad to hear things have eased this morning.

Claree - glad you had a lovely holiday! I went to a wedding a few weeks ago and gave in to flat shoes, I wanted to wear wedges too as I'm short but went for comfort in the end.

Have had a nice afternoon with my mum, went out for a coffee and that passed a bit of time lol!

Dida sending big labour vibes and hope that sweep gets the baby going :)

My nursery (a little cluttered - please excuse!) - my 2 absolute bargains - cot £21 and Cosatto changing thingy £28 (everything else was cheap too in MSE style apart from the damn car seat and isofix thingy!!!)

Oh quite jealous! Sure that changing table is the one I wanted but couldn't find it less then £100 even on Ebay within my area... its got a built in bath under the changing mat? Would of made life so much easier :-)

Thank you - yes defo have a sweep - they will tell you about the state of your bits and pieces as well so you will know the likelihood of whether it will work or not - I reckon mine is more miss than hit at the moment. Would prefer to have another sweep and if there isn't any movement by Thursday I am going to phone my doctor - I don't know whether she does them or not, but mw has told me I won't get another - so will ask Doc to do one if she will! (in the hope that it prevents induction - if my cervix is open....I don't see why they wouldn't....but I will try....!).

I would ask for a sweep if she doesn't offer one. Also ask about your bishop score if you want to know more - http://www.babymed.com/bishop-score-induction-calculator - wish I had at the time (I googled it after my sweep) - I have half the info needed. My baby's head is exactly where it has been for the last few appointments 2/5ths engaged.

Kayalana99 - yes it does have a bath and a outflow pipe underneath the mat - I didn't realise at first and then started cleaning it, and there it was! :) I do have one of these also though as I have heard they are good with newborns and being able to wash baby with one hand! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tippitoes-BM3-Mini-Bath-White/dp/B0037ZTT2A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1371576577&sr=8-1&keywords=tippitoes+bath

I hope the sweep turns out to be worth it Dida.

MW couldn't do one for me today, cervix is still too high which isn't unusual for 38 weeks and first baby but I was bitterly disappointed. She's going to try again next week and I have a consultant appointment for the 3rd July should I go over, but everyday is getting harder.
Have started DTD, had pineapple and curry for tea and have been offered to borrow my friend's kid's trampoline! I'm not going to try anything extreme, like castor oil, but going to do as much as I can to move her ready for a sweep next week.

Dida, your nursery looks amazing! All you need is your little one to complete it, here's hoping the sweep worked.

I spent this evening in my old school with eldest, its amazing the number of teachers who taught me are still there (I left 17 years ago, but shhhhh!) and I cannot believe she is old enough to be getting her ready to go there!

Tummy is still a bit niggly tonight but still not as painful. I'm in work tomorrow and Thursday and thats me finished for maternity leave - happy days.

even though I've been told I'm 'probably' having a boy I'm going to keep to neutrals just in case.

Dida that sweep sounds awful! good job you have a lovely nursery and bargains to soften the blow :)

Dida - the nursery is gorgeous and what a bargain your cot was! I've still got mine from dd1 that we bought over 16yrs ago!

I was told my second baby was a boy at our 20wk scan - got rid of 7yrs of girls things from dd1 (inc a pinkish car seat). Had 3 further scans but legs crossed. Joshua popped out a girl! Hubby had to run out and buy a dress lol. Worst thing was trying to come up with a name as it took a while to agree on Joshua! Apparently I'm having a boy this time too! Having gender scan as soon as hubby is back in UK!

Labour vibes to the top 4! Lets hope for a flurry of gorgeous babies before the weekend.

    Morning ladies!

Dida, hope your not around today as something has happened after your sweep! Every one I've had has never hurt or worked so hopefully that was a good sign! Love your nursery, its gorgeous!

Nessie that blanket is absolutely lush, I'm with you on the pink and blue, I don't mind a bit but its nice to have some colour!

Girlzmum, cant believe its only 5 weeks for us now, although you'll probably beat me! Ha ha!

Well got midwife today to do my birth plan, my master plan is see how it goes on the day! I'm sure baby has dropped some more as head feels really low, which is worrying me slightly as really don't want to be early!!

    Hi ladies!

Hope the sweep worked for you dida and you'll be moving in no time.

Girls in the office yesterday flipped when they seen the size of and the rash on my feet and made me phone mat assess. who of course told me to come in - so much for my relaxing night while OH was at Springsteen!

Went in at 7, taken at half past, baby heart monitor on from 8-9 and then seen by a doctor at 10.30 to say it's probably just a heat rash and get some e45 cream for it  they took blood anyway incase it's a kidney problem and booked me in for the diabetes test 'cause my glucose was slightly high & I'm measuring big - but all in all a complete waste of 4 hours.

Never listening to the girls in the office again! Got my whooping cough vac in an hour, not looking forward to it.
