    Hi ladies!

Does anyone know if there's anything safe/natural i can take for hayfever? Really suffering :( thanks

    22+2

Personally I went to the Doctor's and got Beconase nasal spray prescribed. Doc checked and said it's safe but to use sparingly. (obviously there's no definite answers about which meds are ok as there are no clinical trials on pregnant ladies!) But he said nasal spray is the preferred option as it's not ingested like tablets, it's a topical treatment (up yer nose!) You can also get eye drops which I find helpful as I flush my eyes out with them when they get itchy. I asked in boots pharmacy for eye drops that are safe in pregnancy and they found some Blink intensive tears for me
(NB - Not offering any medical advice here, just personal experience, best to always check with you doctor or pharmacist!)

Congrats on Toby's arrival snozberry, hope you are recovering quickly.

    Fingers crossed Dida! :D

    I'm 22 weeks today :)

:D:D:DHaha! I was planting runner beans and tomatoes last week - but not even a twinge! I don't have anything to dig up - we only moved in 2 weeks ago!:o

I am thinking of cleaning windows and perhaps my car also this afternoon - that might do it...??!!:)

Lol Dida those two activities are on my list of things to do this week! A friend of mine swears that washing the car got things going! I'm going to hoover the inside of the car and if I can face it wash the inside of all the downstairs windows.... Or alternatively I might just sit and watch crap tv!!!

I was just quite rude to a nice woman in a shop, whoops...

Nice lady: When's your baby due!
    Me: Today!
Lady: Well you'd better hurry home then, we don't want it happening in here, do we?
    Me: (deep breath, smile sweetly)
Lady: My daughter s expecting a baby in August, but she's not as big as you are.
Me: WELL SHE WON'T BE IF SHE'S NOT DUE UNTIL
    AUGUST!!!!!!!!!

    And breathe... :)

I should keep away from other humans, am prone to being a bit snappy today!

Congratulations Snozberry, I love the name Toby!

Dida, hopefully you won't be waiting too much longer for your little one to make an appearance.

I went to see in laws yesterday, haven't seen them for a couple of weeks because of work and FIL was commenting on how big I am! MIL and SIL both jumped in immediately saying I'm very neat and looking fab LOL!

My sister and I were comparing bumps on Skype over the weekend, she has a lovely neat wee bump, mind you she is 12 weeks behind me.

I'm getting a bit concerned about being induced - I'm due to be induced at 38 weeks because of gestational diabetes, both my girls were spontaneous labours so I have no experience of it at all and I'm starting to get worried. I was told after youngest was born that I would need to have a c section for any more deliveries because my pelvis had separated but when I went to see obs I was told that wasn't the case and if I wanted to try to deliver myself then they would let me - I was delighted with that. However, at my scan last week we were told Wriggler is breech, I have another appointment next week for another scan so keeping everything crossed.

    C 33 weeks (5 weeks to induction!)

Just a quickie. I keep having to turn the Internet off on my phone to save the battery.

I hope that Dida isn't preggers anymore!

Toby is doing really well. He was born on the 15th btw. He was 12 days late. Eek! I'm doing much better and am now on the post natal ward. My heart rate is still high but my blood pressure is much better. Even though my waters broke at home I still had to be induced as he had opened his bowels and I wasn't contracting at all. I didn't have the pessary - went straight onto the drip. The contractions weren't that bad tbh as they managed my pain really well. Unfortunately, I wasn't dilating and his heart rate dropped...

The main thing is that we are both ok. I don't know how much longer we will both be in for tho.

Labour vibes for all who need it xx

Snozberry - so pleased to hear you and little Toby are doing well.

Mrsj28 - ha that's awesome! She shouldn't have said something so silly. Why do people think they can say things like that just because we're pregnant? I've been told I'm huge for 21wks - well it is my 5th pregnancy; hopefully our 3rd rainbow baby.

Dida - it must be your turn tonight?!? Sending mega huge labour vibes to you.

    Xx

I never understand why people think its ok to comment on your size just because you're pregnant. I get all sorts of remarks and its so unnecessary! Well done mrsj for answering back!!

Had an exam yesterday and passed, such a relief as I'm sure the stress it was causing me wasn't doing me much good!!

I've noticed my boobs leaking a bit - does anyone know what I should expect here? Will it just continue to be a tiny bit or should I be prepared for it to be noticeable?

No angel-it shouldn't come to anything, you only really "leak" milk when it comes in around 3 days after birth.

Anyone had period like aches in the last few weeks, I've been awake most of the night on and off.

Thanks :) I have a prolactinoma which means this happened over the last few years even before I was pregnant but it was never too much then either.
