Nikki, i would do as dida says, try something fizzy and lie down on your left side, my mw said the hospital will ask if you have already done so you can let them know that you have tried that.

Someone asked about hayfever, sorry cant remember who as have hideous baby brain now but GP can prescribe Claritin or similar, but please make sure it's prescribed as they need to check BP and I'm not giving medical advice!

My god my baby is an active one. I actually yelped out loud during lunch out with my Dad and family for Father's Day earlier! My poor brother looked terrified, think he though I was going into labour!

Thanks for all the advice and reassurance. Phoned the hospital and they advised me to go in to be checked. I don't live far so went straight in and they put me on a monior and everything was coming out as fine. Felt 2 little movements but nothing like normal so mw spoke to registrar who suggested I go back in tomorrow to go on the monitor again and see if I feel happier about movements then. MW seemed happy with everything though and explained that he may have moved position so his legs are kicking in different places to what I'm used to

Still kinda scared about it all but reassured from gwaring heartbeat

Nikki glad you went in. If things are better tomorrow get checked out again. It is much better to be a nuisance than to leave it.

mrsj28 - Happy Due Date! Now get bouncing, eating pineapple and going for bumpy car rides!!!:p (hasn't done anything for me...but you never know....!).

Nikkiann pleased to hear little one is moving.....you never know - he could be having a rest before an imminent arrival...!:) How is he this morning?

Thanks Dida! Can't believe I'm 40 weeks now... Come on baby!

Have been up since 5.30 and seem to have a filthy cold so feeling a bit miserable (hormones not helping....nor the number on the scales...have gained 4lb in the last week :eek: - I blame all the baking )

Off for a coffee with some friends later this morning, glad I have something planned so I won't be wallowing/waiting all day!

Sorry for the moan - I am very very excited to be having a baby and feel so lucky to know I'll meet him/her in the next two weeks, just having a funny five minutes
