Do you have any further appointments booked in Dida?

I'm seeing the midwife later and hoping that the consultant has updated my notes or I'll be dragging myself back to the hospital tomorrow

Was wide awake at half six this morning, but then I had been sleeping on and off since 5pm yesterday! Managed to clear all the drying, put a wash on and make up the moses basket already. Going to repack my hospital bag shortly as the bag was borrowed so it's currently all over the cot! Then hopefully sort the mortgage out and start on the normal housework while I have some energy!

I am crossing everything that your baby makes an arrival soon Dida. Did I read that you are going for a sweep today? Good luck I hope that gets things moving.

AFM I got a little bit upset this weekend with the PIL. We have started buying some clothes ready for the baby and putting them into a basket in the spare room so that once the nursery is painted we will be able to build the cot and get the room ready really quickly. I know they had a couple of white things such as a cardigan etc that they were keeping at their house that they had bought before we had even started TTC. So I asked if they wanted us to take it out of their way and put it with the other stuff. Downstairs the MIL comes with some very nice, but very blue outfits and blankets as she has one of her psychic (sp) feelings. [FONT=&quot]Fine except we are deliberately team yellow. :eek:

When we got in the car I started a massive rant about how if I wanted a load of pink or blue outfits before the baby was born I would have found out the sex, and how if it's a girl there is no way on this planet that I will be dressing it in blue or taking it out with a blue blanket.

Am I over reacting?

Good luck for your sweep today dida! I've got one booked for next wed, due date, bit surprised that my area does sweeps on due date but will have it nonetheless . Nutshell, i would have been annoyed too, you will have the last laugh tho if your baby is a girl and your mil will have wasted her money on blue clothes!

nutshell, I think hormones will have a lot to play there.

I have had similar rants about my mother. She bought loads of thing in pink despite me saying we didn't want my daughter to be dressed in all pink. I ended up going out of my way to dress her in blue with a blue blanket etc. It isn't that I don't like pink just that I don't want everything to be pink. It annoyed me and there are a few things I have avoided just because of where they were suggested.

My mother kept saying that I would be desperate to dress her in girly pink dresses. Guess who spent the first 3 months in blue dungarees lol

I have had the same arguements with my mum - i said i don't want everything pink for a girl or everything blue for a boy & she had the cheek to say 'so if i brought something pink if you have a girl you wouldn't put her in it?' making out like i'm the unreasonable one :eek:

What is wrong with wanting neutral colours?

At one point everyone was joking & saying i was having a hippy baby as i like bright rainbow colours & started crocheting this blanket



Had another row with mum last night - ended with me crying & telling her she is over-reacting & paranoid & needs to stop putting me in stressful situations - i hope she has got the message!

After my appointment yesterday at the hospital, everything seems fine

Was on the monitor for about an hour yesterday afternoon and wasn't feeling much, just the odd flutters then as soon as the MW took the monitor off he started poking out and doing roly polys in there!

Think he may have moved positions so I wasn't feeling the movements the same as before

So glad I went to get checked though, just don't want to be seen as a panicking person although MW we saw yesterday was lovely and said to go back at any time if I wasn't happy
