Thanks Dida! Can't believe I'm 40 weeks now... Come on baby!
Have been up since 5.30 and seem to have a filthy cold so feeling a bit miserable (hormones not helping....nor the number on the scales...have gained 4lb in the last week  - I blame all the baking)
Off for a coffee with some friends later this morning, glad I have something planned so I won't be wallowing/waiting all day!
Sorry for the moan - I am very very excited to be having a baby and feel so lucky to know I'll meet him/her in the next two weeks, just having a funny five minutes
Dida hope your sweep gets things going!
Step off the scales mrsj28!!!!:rotfl: Not good for morale!
I went out for lunch yesterday and took a blanket to sit on...just in case!:D
Its funny as you feel really lucky but also really fed up at the same time - you must feel even worse with a cold (somehow my Pregnacare has kept colds away for the past 9 months!). Hope you feel better soon - and that baby comes on the day after your cold disappears (must be rubbish giving birth when extremely snotty!!!).
Have a good day - I have nothing planned apart from cake making.....!!!:D (which is probably why I have stepped away from the scales!).0 -

Thanks DidaNo idea why I though a weigh in would help my mood!!!
What's on the baking menu today? I find it such a good way to pass the time and very therapeutic (especially the eating part...).
Hadn't thought about taking a blanket to sit on... I'm trying to encourage Sod's law by NOT taking one and hoping my waters will break in a cafe or something...!!!0 -

Its a really easy fruit cake today - will keep for at least a week - I am still hoping for my home birth (ok....maybe the odds are now quite minimal...but I do keep looking at my birth pool in hope!) - so want something to feed midwives/me/OH that is homely! (or I can take to hospital!)
I didn't take any blankets out last week in the hope....but then I was a bit worried yesterday as the pub we went to was a 30 mile round trip....some of which along bumpy roads! But typically not even a twinge! (I also wore a maternity pad just incase!!!!). If the cafe has soft cushioned seats have a backup plan - hard chairs are fine - they won't mind cleaning them!:rotfl:
Its a really weird feeling being overdue - as this is my first - I am still feeling a little bit in denial that there is anything there, excited at the prospect of meeting the little one, scared as my OH works some distance away and I will be on my own for the first part of anything happening and also a little like I'm a ticking timebomb....and I'm just waiting to go "off" but I don't know when!!!!:rotfl:0 -
Morning all,
Finally have OH back and have tucked him up in bed - he's been at a festival all weekend and is very overtired and sore from camping. Really hoping that he sleeps well today and then baby decides to arrive this week while he's still on annual leave.
Going for a massage this morning so hoping that'll encourage baby alongand then out for lunch with a friend, although I'm still eating very little and feeling very nauseous
Happy due date mrsj28 and good luck to dida with the sweep x

Morning All
Baby still not doing "normal" movements, have felt a few this morning but it feels more like the early day flutters if you know what I mean
Got appointment for 3.30pm today at the hospital to go on the monitor again to check his heartbeat and movements so we'll see what happens from that
Is it really selfish of me to want this to mean he has gone quiet as he is about to pop out!??New first time mummy to a gorgeous little boy!

Not at all NikkiAnn - hopefully he's just nice and snuggled into your pelvis and ready to get moving! Hope all goes well at the hospital today0

Its always better to be safe than sorry - so no, you are not being selfish at all - in fact completely the opposite.
Like sparkles, I reckon he is getting snuggled down (and possibly being a typical male already - prepared to sit back and take things easy....;)).
Hope all goes well and let us know how you get on!0 -
thanks for adding me to the list - we're having a girl so you can add the little symbol if you like.
Suffering from complete lack of sleep at the moment, I am up 3 or 4 times every night and then exhausted when the alarm goes off at 6.50amThere was a helicopter flying around for at least an hour last night which kept me awake (although OH thinks I have imagined this) and then the battery powered air freshener decided to go mad and squirt every 1 minute rather than every 20 which meant I waddled downstairs and pulled the batteries out!!
Hope your little one hurries up Dida (I remember sending you a few DMs when I was first pregnant - can't believe its time already!)

Dida, when I was 8 days over, I helped my mum to dig out some potatoes. Much to the annoyance of hubby
she was born 7am the next morning
worth a try. Go find something tough to dig up

:D:DHaha! I was planting runner beans and tomatoes last week - but not even a twinge! I don't have anything to dig up - we only moved in 2 weeks ago!:o
I am thinking of cleaning windows and perhaps my car also this afternoon - that might do it...??!!:)0
