lovecake: I shouldn't ask but ... what does OBEM stand for??!
I just think that she was a breas t feeding nazi tbh. Yes, I want to do it but if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. Our hormones are going to be all over the place when our little ones arrive and we don't need people like that who are going to question our choices. Grrr!! They make me so mad!
IHateDida: Pardon my French but they have all been fkn awful. I hate going there. I can't think of a single one who has been nice to me and spoken to me with common courtesy. The hospital staff have all been lovely though!
I don't want to have a stretch n sweep right now. I'd rather nature took its course tbh. My baby is ok. He is growing well and is showing no signs of distress and my bp has always been ok. I just think that some people may need to rethink their career choices lol. Maybe I should complain again. The woman I spoke to the last time I complained gave me her email and told me to contact her again should I need to.0 -

I swear that's what one of the ladies called it on the programme! :rotfl:It would be great if they could just scoop the baby out! I don't like the thought of my cervix being 'scooped' though! :rotfl:0

I had a S&S with DD1 as I had felt twinges. MW asked if I wanted it helping along a bit. As it was getting to the afternoon I said yes as there was no way I was having an April 1st baby :rotfl:
DD2 I wanted to keep her in as long as possible as she was getting closer to being a September Baby, never happened though.
This one I'll probably go for the Sweep if it's available so I don't end up 8 days over due again and with a 9lber again.
And it's a load of balls what she said about the sweep Snoz. Give her a slap next time she says something stupid. Then say "every time you say something stupid I will slap you so choose your next advice wisely"What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -

This made me:D:D:D:D
This is fab advice - in fact I think it could be used on plenty of people - not just inconsiderate mw's!:rotfl:0 -
Hi everyone!
I need to get some new nursing bras too! I bought some when I was earlier on in the pregnancy thinking I wouldn't change size much and to be fair, by boobs are pretty much the same size, but since my ribs have started to splay out a lot in the last few weeks to accommodate the baby I feel that I need to go up a back size. I'll get some new ones and hang on to the ones I have for when I start to get my normal shape back.
If the cups are OK, try some extenders for the back rather than new bras. You can pick them up in M&S for a few pounds.
I'll be having a sweep next week at 1 day over. I want this baby out asap! (Watch me go 2 weeks over now)
You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
Oh Snozberry, thats awful treatment! I have to admit that this time round I'm taking no crap - a nice combination of being 10 years older than I was when I had eldest and actually working as a nurse now. I has a terrible time with a midwife after I had eldest and instead of complaining like I should have I let the midwives talk me out of it and then checked myself out against medical advice because I didn't want to encounter her again.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0

Snozberry, sorry you're having a rubbish time with midwives. Sounds very similar to my experience so far. Not one midwife person has even bothered to look at my name on my notes, let alone give me any care. Last apt at 37wk she didn't test my urine as she had run out of test strips & just did my BP which gave an out of character result (but healthy tbf) sent me on my way saying I needed to come back at 39+5 so she'd sort me an induction date referral to the hospital. To save myself the stress, as I gave birth on my due date last time, I didn't go. Now I'm seriously shaping up for going the whole hog overdue, no signs at all, and won't have an induction date. !!!!!!.
These people really don't care do they. It's really sad. No wonder women end up with life altering post and pre natal depression.
re: nursing bras. If the cost is hurting too much, I favour sports type bras... I know they're not as easily flip downable as nursing bras but where there's a will there's a way... And especially useful for when you're at home... I got loads of different soft stretchy styles (some strapless for maxi dresses) from Sainsburys in their recent 25% off sale, so think they ended up all bring about £5 or less, and the quality seems great.
Off to avoid a public mega tantrum now. I have never felt so frustrated & tearful in my life. Going overdue & having insane pelvic pain sucks

The community midwives near me are beyond awful! I ended up complaining when one strange face didn't know how far gone I was or about my placenta issues. There were other things as well which I wasn't happy with. I'm not looking forward to the home visits.
You know, I've been in sports bras all of the way through my pregnancy. They may be !!!!!! but they are very comfortable and my baps have been well supported.
Hopefully your baby will be here soon Lola
