Glad you booked your trip Claree! I wouldn't have survived this pregancy without my week in the sun in April! :rotfl:
I'm terrified of going to the midwife on Thursday and her refusing to sign the letter :rotfl: There's absolutely no reason that she would because I've had no complications but you never know!
I called the MW dept this morning who put me through to maternity assessment who told me that it would have to be my GP who signed the letter. I called the GP who said that since they've not seen me during my pregnancy it'd be better to speak to the midwife (which I agree with to be fair!) so I called again and was told that it should be fine and to just ask for a letter when I'm in on Thursday.
Was waiting for my holidays to be confirmed, just got an email back from my boss there;
- Can I take x and y days as holiday please?
- Aye
It's very professional in here :rotfl:My Debt Free Diary

:rotfl:A very formal approval process! :rotfl:
There is no reason why they wouldn't give you the letter - you'll be fine I'm sure.
I went to the Aldi baby event at the weekend - got some dummies, wipes, cellular blankets and some tommee tippee bowls, spoons and food pots for when he's older (just because they were so cheap! - I'll just store them away) They didn't have any small nappies unfortunately - only size 5. Grrrr!0 -
:-O really? My mum had breast cancer a couple of years back. If that's the case I will defo be steering clear!
Yeah - this is the list of reasons you should avoid it:- When you have already given birth and labour took only three hours and under
- When you’ve had a Caesarean section before
- When you’ve had premature labour before
- When you’ve had vaginal bleeding during the second half of your pregnancy
- If you’re scheduled to have a planned Caesarean for medical reasons.
- If you have high blood pressure
- If you have a family or personal history of breast or ovarian cancer, fibroids and endometriosis
- If you have any complications or health problems in your pregnancy
- If you are expecting twins

Had to share this drawing my niece did for us of me, hubby and baby going to the park! So cute!0

Thanks for that lovecake, I had no idea.
How cute is that picture?! How old is your niece?0 -
Awwww, Lovecake, that picture is so sweet! Your niece must be very excited about her new cousin coming along. My girls not only have a brother to look forward to but my sister is due 12 weeks after me so a new cousin as well!
Claree - I'm very jealous! Have a fantastic time!
Baleb, I bought the capsules last week but am leaving them for another couple of weeks before I start them. I figure if I'm going to be induced at 38 weeks then I'll start taking them at 34/5 weeks (no worries about short labours here, 19 hours with first and 11 hours with 2nd) I did buy the tea with eldest but I couldn't even bring myself to finish a cup - I'm a Tetley girl and none of the herbal stuff tastes right for me!!!
I'm in shock this afternoon, I was doing the school run and bumped into a mum from youngests class. She was due 3 days after me so I nearly died when I spotted she had no bump anymore (she had a fantastic bump), she gave birth to a little girl 2 weeks ago by emergency section, so about 28/29 weeks. Little one is doing ok, she has a hole in her heart and one of her valves isn't working but everything else sooms to be ok. She has lost a bit of weight but its due to her little body using up so much energy to pump blood. Poor wee darling. I know I feel tired and sore and huge but am just so glad Wriggler is staying inside, where he should be.

Awh, this lake Garda chat is making me depressed and v jealous lol, we were there on honeymoon this time last year (Garda town), and I've got friends who are there on hols just now (and just got engaged out there too!), we'd planned on going back this Sept, but bump's kinda meant we've put that on hold for a year or two! Hope you have a great time!0

Oh thanks for that lovecake, my midwife said it would be fine but as last labour was so quick think I might have to rethink especially as the hospital I have to go to is the best part of an hour away!!:eek::eek::eek: that pic is lovely by the way, so sweet!
Oh girlzmum, thats quite scary, poor little thing!
Yay you got the time off Claree! Bet your even more excited now!!0 -
She's 6 years old and so excited! She will totally be my mini nanny!
That's what 'the internet' says about the tea - it's on quite a few sites so I assume it's the right advice. Bless that poor wee baby and her parents! She must be tiny! That has been one of my biggest fears throughout - not making it to full term.

Just popping on in the midst of my recent mental meltdown to apologise for hogging the top spot on the list... Looking likely I'll be hogging it for a good while longer. 40+2 and not a single sign of anything even remotely imminent. In fact, my cervix is still so high, I'm surprised it's not popped out of my nose. Not boding well. Especially since I boycotted my "midwife" weeks ago & now typically to serve me right, I've gone overdue with no one to turn to other than pestering OH for uncomfy sex all the time, and a birth ball/clary sage daily combo. Sigh....0
