Well no because that bit is said to stimulate labour. Something in it that will trigger it.
So they say lol

Loving all the wine chat, were just back from asda where I picked up a bottle of Fre White Zinfandel rose, so will report back on how it is lol. Has anyone found a good alcohol free cider? Really missing a pint of ice cold magners and ice on a hot day!
Yes do let us know about the wine! I haven't had any alcohol at all during pregnancy and don't plan on starting, but maybe something alcohol free to take with me to BBQs would be nice.
Suffering from terrible back pain which has led to me sleeping and resting all day so far. Really struggling at work at the moment though because it hurts when im sat and I just can't get comfortable unless standing or laying down. Ay advice?0 -
Well I keep getting a pain in the bottom of my stomach and walking feels funny but sometimes painful, alot of presure down thier. Only 22 weeks.
Mum thinks I might be developing that pelvis SP..or what ever it is thing. *sighs*People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Evening all! Just popping in to say hi, am reading along every day but not much interesting to add from me!
Labour vibes to all those who want them... and 'staying put' vibes to IHateDida!! I was really keen not to have the baby early, as so much to get done, but suddenly I have changed my mind and am really keen to have the baby. Bored of nesting and feel pretty much as ready as I'll ever be, although there is still loads more I could actually do to get the house sorted out.... I just can't be bothered now! Have started feeling really lethargic just these last couple of days.
Midwife said that baby's head was 2/5 engaged on Wednesday, so still quite a way to go, but it feels like it's dropped a little bit more in the last few days (when I sit down my bump feels like it rests half way down my thighs!!).
I've had the odd small drink, but not really fancied it that much...that said I did enjoy a white wine spritzer last night (made with half a small glass of wine, so more like wine flavoured soda water...).
Is anybody drinking raspberry leaf tea? I'm not convinced it'll do anything but I quite like the taste of it so started drinking a cup a day this week, and next week thought I'd up it to a few cups a day as it can't do any harm. Going to try a few of the old wives' tales too, not because I think they'll do anything really but because it'll distract me a bit! Need to work out how to seduce DH... not so easy these days now that I am a massive lump and the logistics of s e x are interesting too!
Hope everbody's had a nice weekend in the sunshine. Fingers crossed this is the start of summer...0 -

This thread is hilarious tonight!:rotfl:Thanks girls for a chuckle!!!!
I am on my own Mon-Thurs this week - I am a little scared of being on my own so close to my due date - OH works 40 mins away! If something happens....do I start blowing up the birth pool or hovering for when the midwives come round??!!!
I think the worst but is not knowing when its going to happen! I like everything to run to a schedule!!!!
Bought a Tens machine on Ebay today - not sure if they work - had a play at an NCT group making the OH jump with it (!) but seeing as though the midwives that come round only have small cans of gas and air, I figured it would be worth a go! Anyone else considering one/have used one before????0 -
I've hired a tens machine and did the same last time. I'm not sure if it made a massive difference to the pain, but it was certainly a distraction.
I'm on the raspberry leaf tea too, mrsj. I drank it last time and had a relatively quick labour for a first timer with a reasonably big, back to back baby. I don't know if the rlt helped, but it's not going to do any harm.
My DH is about half an hour away if I go into labour while he's at work, but ironically only about 10 mins from the hospital. Hopefully things will kick off at night like last time, so he'll be with me.You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

Hi Everybody.
Sorry to disappoint but all the ladies from 4 down are shifting up a place!
Baby Erica arrived a week early at 2:52 am yesterday morning.
She was a week early and weighed 9lb and 3oz:eek:
Took just under 24 hours in total and i'll pop back in for a catch up and to post on the experience thread when I get a chance.
