When did everyone pack their hospital bags?
I haven't got nighties or pjs or anything for me to take in yet
I've not washed any of babies clothes yet (have bought washing powder now tho!)
I only have 4 weeks left.....ahhhhhh!
(slightly in denial I think)

Dida, what sort of wine did you get? I'm pining for a nice cold glass of wine, but the only alcohol free stuff I've tried has been too sweet for me
I'm loving Becks Blue alcohol free beer though
and there's a little bottle of rose waiting for me in the fridge for when this baby is out. It's been there since October, teasing me
ElsbergBut I do have a sweet tooth - so it might be a little too sweet for you. I was going to fizz it up in the soda stream but I popped it in the freezer and enjoyed it ice cold!

I only started packing my bag a week or so ago, at about 37 weeks. I've got a dark nightie somewhere that I had when I had DS, it was with my maternity gear and I put it somewhere so I'd have it for the birth. Can I find it anywhere now? No! God only knows what I did with it. Looks like a trip to primarni is in order for another cheapy one.
I've not washed all the baby clothes yet either.
Cheers for the drinks info. I'll see what I can hunt down.
I found some stretch marks todayThought I might have escaped them again, but apparently not. Oh well, it's been a long time since my stomach was fit to be seen in public, so only DH and I are going to see them.

I have to admit for having the odd glass of real wine..I crave a nice cold glass of pino from time to time!
BB is your DS in a bed now as opposed to a cot? We are doing the bed thing for the first time this evening and I am stressing out that it is going to be a disaster! He sleeps so well in his cot, but he did fall out if it a few weeks back, and at nearly 2 and a half I'm thinking he should be coming out of a cot really.
Any advice?

MV - My 19 month old sleeps in a bed so at 2.5 it should be a very easy transition?
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that if anyone is looking for a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix carset, Amazon are currently selling the 'total black' colour for £75. However, if you join Amazon family (free) you get a £10 discount so it comes up at £65. Ridiculous bargain.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Yes, DS is in a single bed now, but we only switched a couple of weeks ago when we moved him into his new bedroom. We put his cot bed in there too and he slept in that at first but has moved over to the big bed now. He'd been sleeping in his cot bed with the sides off since Christmas.
We had to put a gate on his bedroom door when we took the sides off his cot bed as he kept running around upstairs after we'd put him to bed. He's pretty good at settling now though. We open the gate when we go to bed and then he comes in to us when he wakes up in the morning.
I'm not against alcohol in pregnancy, but I didn't fancy it for ages and now that I do I sort of feel like I've gone without for so long that I'll be disappointed in myself if I give in nowI almost cracked today though. It's been a beautiful day here and we had a lovely pub lunch with some friends. I was sooooo tempted to have a glass of Pimm's!

Funny reading people discussing alcohol, I've just had my first slurp since falling pregnant. I've got the rest of the glass left... I figure it can last the evening
When should I pack my hospital bag? I have everything for it... But I might need the bag in the mean time... I'm sure we will fit a weekend away in before baby gets hereIf you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -

I am gagging for a cider with lots and lots of ice! Or an ice cold glass of prosecco! Or a frozen glass filled with Peroni! Yum!
I have stayed completely away from alcohol as I watched a scan on a baby when the mother was drinking a glass of wine - the baby just kept squirming away as it entered her bloodstream - I can't remember the programme but that vision has always stayed with me.
Plus....more importantly, I cannot stop at just one glass....!:rotfl: I have been sniffing the top of my OH's drinks though longingly.....!:D0 -
I've seen that video too IHateDida, and had quite a bit of training on foetal alcohol syndrome so I don't risk it. I had jelly at Christmas which had rose in it (the person didn't tell me!) and I was really sick too so that put me off!
The alcohol-free Koppaberg is nice, but I'm finding fizzy gives me heartburn so I'm a strawberry milkshake kinda girl now!
I have baby's hospital bag packed now, just finished her clothes off today, and mine is just about there - change of clothes and toiletries to add. Purely because OH would have no hope of getting most of the stuff I have packed sorted but would just about manage to pick up my bathroom stuff (as its in one bag) and a change of clothes! I found this out when I was in for three days and he forgot deodorant and a hairbrush when he brought stuff in for me.
