You should be fine. 29 weeks, uncomplicated pregnancy = minimal risk. Phone your surgery and see what they say."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I flew at 29 weeks with Easyjet and they didn't even need the letter in the end!
Ryanair says you need one of their template letters dated within two weeks of your flight date (so careful if you're looking for a two week break!) to present to the bag drop desk or boarding gate. They let you fly up to 36 weeks for single pregnancy, 32 weeks for multiple. Seems pretty straightforward0 -
i flew out to Hungary week before last for work and was told by my midwife that I needed a 'fit to fly' letter from a GP as travel insurance can be invalidated otherwise.
We are flying to Menorca in about 3 weeks for a holiday when I will be 31 weeks, again as long as you have no complications it is fine, but you might want to check the travel insurance situation.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Congrats to any BAs I missed! And good luck to those coming up in june - iHateDida, your maternity leave is seriously late! How did you cope with being at work for so long
!
Wehay congratulations mogwai on finally sorting your home - its such a relief isn't it!
As for how I coped....I kept thinking of being broke at the end of my maternity leave - so every extra day I worked eased the stress!!! Haha! Plus - I reckon am doing ok for a heavily preggy person - still driving around, doing the shopping (despite the woman at customer service in Tescos telling me I should be staying at home!), gardening etc.... - I just feel a little on the fat and knackered side so I count myself lucky!
I had half a bottle of alcohol free wine tonight - it was actually rather lovely - to anyone who hasn't tried it - well worth trying!0 -
Dida, what sort of wine did you get? I'm pining for a nice cold glass of wine, but the only alcohol free stuff I've tried has been too sweet for me
I'm loving Becks Blue alcohol free beer though
and there's a little bottle of rose waiting for me in the fridge for when this baby is out. It's been there since October, teasing me

What's the chances of my doctor saying I can't fly at 29 weeks? Ryanair need a form to say that I can. Pregnancy has been completely uncomplicated except one high glucose test (3 "normal" ones since...)
I don't even know who to phone! :rotfl: My local midwifes are only in the dept. on a Monday & a Thursday so that's no help. I'm determined to get a holiday now!
I flew with Ryanair - 28 on the way out and 29 on the way back. I got a letter from my GP. I just spoke to her on the phone - she said: are u feeling well? Any high blood pressure? Any tummy pain? I said: Yes. No. No. And that was it. She dif the letter and left it at reception for me.
I was never asked for it, not at prestwick or at the other side. Better safe than sorry though.
I think I got insurance through indureandgo. They insure pregos as standard up to 32 weeks. No need to state it as a medical condition.
We have had amazing deals the past 2 years on travelrepublic. A week on Fuerteventura, nice 1 bdrm apartment, flights, baggage and transfers for about £250 each. We love Corralejo! We've been 3 times now. Happy holiday shopping!0 -
IhDida I think being active is better for you anyway n late pregnancy...everyone keeps telling me to put my feet up but days I do kick back I actually feel more aches and painy than days where I am on my feet and out and about..
I feel fat and knackered too, lol, but it could be worse!
Am on EPO, raspberry lea tea, bouncing on ball and eating hot foods so fc bubs will make a pre-40 weeks appearance
Re holidays, a baby moon was on my wish list but what with moving out etc it didn't happen - am jealous of anyone managing a getaway before baby comes! We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Claree_x I flew at 21 weeks and came back at 23 but brought a letter from my GP anyway, we were in America and I had to show it in airport because they wanted everyone to go through the full body scanner. I was charged for the letter!
I terrified myself this morning, Wriggler is coming next month! How did that happen? (I'm due August 5th but because of gestational diabetes I'm going to be induced 2 weeks early so week beginning July 22nd)
Toothfairy - I was convinced I was having boys with both of my girls and this time I was sure that I was having a girl! We didn't find out with the girls and weren't planning to this time, we spotted that we were having a boy at my 21 week scan, at my next scan the guy doing it was showing the girls what we could see and pointed out that they were having a brother and the following 2 scans the people doing them have all confirmed that baby is a boy! DH really isn't in to football or sports but is a stereotypical scifi nerd and I'm not going to be surprised when he gives Wriggler a light sabre!!!Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0
