Hello everyone! Man, I am so uncomfortable at work today :( Is anyone else at the stage where baby is really pressing down now and you get stabbing pains in what feels like your bladder/downstairs area? It is so uncomfortable when he has a really wriggly hour and I feel like I can't sit at peace. I've been having to stand up while still trying to work at my PC! He seems to have gone a bit quiet now, but no doubt after I have my lunch he will start again! Let's hope the sun comes out again Claree! I am dressed for summer today too! I think it is due to brighten up again at 2-3ish :)

I've been on maternity leave for over a week and today is the first day I've had to myself to get anything useful done. So far I've washed the lounge and hall carpets, got 2 loads of washing done and out in the sunshine and been to see the midwife. Still measuring 2 weeks behind, but that seems to be down to the way I carry them - I'm not kidding myself that this one will be anything other than another whopper :o MW will give me a sweep when I next see her, I'll be 1 day over if I make it that far.

For now, I'm having a little catch up on Glee, then I'm going to do some shifting furniture around in the nursery and get the crib built :)

How did you manage the perineal massage? I tried the other night and can't reach! :rotfl:TMI Alert! Obviously I can touch it, but I can't get around my bump to get my thumbs in there! (sorry! :o no other delicate way to ask!)

I started mine at the end of week 37 but was going to start it at the end of week 38 until some colleagues pulled me to one side. I work in a busy, hands on environment as well. I just got on with it but I did spend my first week of mat leave bored and sulky!

My God! How big is your bump?? :D Spread legs wide and go round the sides of bump with your arms, rather than over the top.

What's the chances of my doctor saying I can't fly at 29 weeks? Ryanair need a form to say that I can. Pregnancy has been completely uncomplicated except one high glucose test (3 "normal" ones since...)

I don't even know who to phone! :rotfl: My local midwifes are only in the dept. on a Monday & a Thursday so that's no help. I'm determined to get a holiday now!

The 5 night or 7 nights are still available. Just means you have to go get a tan for longer ;)
