Could be baby on the sciatic nerve Claree, do you sleep on your right or your back? I get awful pain if I lie on my back and then try to get up, hurts all down my bum and my leg.

Penultimate day at work today, got to say I'm glad, I'm really tired now and waddling quite a lot. Plus the stress is not doing me any good. Feel awful about the situation I'm leaving them in but it's HR's fault not mine so I can't do any more.

    Morning preggers birds!
Hope all are well. My bump has been going a mental this last couple of days, it can be quite uncomfortable at times. She just doesn't seem to want to stop moving!

So different to last time as I hardly felt anything with my DS until later on as I had an anterior placenta.

Can't believe it's nearly June already  Where is this year going?

Going to post an updated bump pic in a minute, so apologies if I stretch the thread!

    28 weeks today.

I have an anterior placenta but my boy is bonkers! He's on the go all the time! Escpecially at night unfortunately. My hubby can't believe how much he wriggles around - my whole belly moves! So you might have that to look forward to as baby gets bigger (sorry):rotfl: It is really uncomfortable sometimes isn't it - even a wee bit painful at times.

Cute bump MV, I'm 2 weeks ahead of you and a lot bigger than that! I would post a pic but not sure if I can from an iPhone?

I'm feeling quite uncomfortable at night now, my sister bought me one of those long sausage pillows and that has helped loads while in bed but still struggling to get comfy on the sofa in the evenings. I ordered a yoga ball yesterday so hopefully I can sit on that and it will help.

    Hope everyone's well

I use my maternity pillow on the couch too - I kind of wrap it round me to support my back and bump - you could try that. I always have something to put my feet up on too...that might help you. I think we just get used to never being comfortable though :rotfl:

I'm 27+2 and my bump is so much bigger. So are my legs though so I figure I was bigger in general :rotfl:

I woke up with cramp in my leg this morning, !!!!!! is that pain?!

I've had a few leg cramps - horrendous! Very common in pregnancy though. I asked the midwife and she said to do some flexing excercises at night before bed (if you google it you'll probably get some ideas?. She also said it can be to do with lack of potassium so make sure you are still taking your vitamins or eat lots of bananas :rotfl:I find that I can feel when it's coming on and as soon as it does I stretch my leg out straight and flex my foot back as far as I can and it usually stops it from going into full blown cramp.

Why oh why did I decide to work up until 37 weeks I am absolutely exhausted!!! :(

Claree, I get cramp in my legs several times a night , its not fun! But agree with lovecake about the exercises, they do help, when I remember to do them :o

Sparkles, hope your last day goes well, I wouldn't worry about it, they knew when you'd be going if they didn't sort everything thats there fault, sounds a little like my work, don't think they've got someone to cover my maternity yet!

Lovecake, its hard isn't it, you have to decide so early when your going to leave, but don't know how awfully tired your going to be, I left at 38 weeks last time and my job requires standing for 8hrs, managed to get a stool about 2 weeks before I left!

Hi guys. I'm sorry if this puts a downer on the thread.

My sister (3years younger) is a bit temperamental at times and has been on antidepressants in the past, she went through a phase of cutting herself and has taken tablets before.

We told her about my pregnancy on Saturday. And was told by my mom yesterday that she took 16 paracetamol tablets at lunchtime as she felt depressed that I was pregnant and she isn't. She is still on the injection so isn't even trying, and planning her wedding for march next year.
I spent most of last night in tears, whenever I do something she wants so gets jealous and does something stupid and selfish.

Sorry if I've bought anyone down but I needed to talk xx

Sam, they not only don't have my cover (20 hours), we've lost 12 hours worth of funding and have a vacant 8 hour post...so they are totally stuffed! I may only have a job to go back to for eight weeks next year

Sorry amy, cross-posted. You can't let yourself feel guilty for your sister's struggles, it is not your fault, it sounds like she has had problems with her mental health for a while and has used this as an excuse to let out her frustrations. I hope she gets the help she needs and maybe you could talk to your midwife and see if there's support available for you to deal with her outbursts?

So sorry to hear Amy but you can't feel guilty about being pregnant. She's not pregnant 'cause she doesn't want to be but her health problems are just skewing things - this is not your fault.

You know better than us whether it's best for you to be there for her or to take a bit of a back seat while she gets used to the idea but don't let her take away your happiness x

Thank you sparkles and claree. My husband keep telling me not to worry myself about what she's doing, to think of our little one and to just enjoy being pregnant. But she knows how to put a downer on my mood. Hopefully she will sort herself out soon and I can relax again xx

Amy, poor you, I can really sympathise, sounds an awful lot like my sister! Anything I do she has to get funny over it or copy or something, she is a self harmer aswell. It can be so hard to deal with especially when you see the effects it has on your parents and siblings and is the last thing you need whilst pregnant. It can be so hard to get them the help they need, but try not to let it get you down, as awful as it sounds its her problem not yours, support her but maybe at a distance and on your terms as much as possible you need to do what's best for you and your baby now.
Don't feel guilty! And its better to talk about it and let it out so rant away!

Oh dear sparkles, not good for you going back but hopefully things might change in the year your away? I'm lucky in the fact that aslong as our situation doesn't change I won't be going back it isn't worth it for my 16hrs by the time child care would be paid for
    Xx

    Hugs Amy..you mustn't feel bad though. x

Yeurk it's half term so EVERYTHING is packed out with kids. I'm so sick of this sh1tty weather too..what on earth are you supposed to do with a bored 2 year old when you are aching and feeling about 100 years old yourself??
