(do babies go really quiet or really hypo just before they are born? - I am hoping its the former as mine has been the most active that its ever been this evening - despite the lack of space! :eek:).

No signs of an early labour yet for me thankfully - although I am thinking I need to go into labour soon to stop me spending money - went out this evening to Argos and been shopping all day on the net and in town - spent around £700 in total which I really do not have!:eek: (bedroom furniture, rugs, compost bin, toiletries, groceries.....not very exciting stuff either!).

I thought that they were meant to slow down as well but mine has been a little jumping bean! I can't wait to buy clothes and shoes in my normal size.

I have a midwife appointment today - hopefully my last one.

I thought something might have been happening last night. My back was really sore and the pain seemed to be coming and going, which is exactly how my labour with DS started. But it all stopped when I lay down in bed

I'm off into town once DS has been dropped off with the child minder, so hopefully a bit of walking will encourage this baby on its way.

My midwife said the baby's movements shouldn't change towards the end. You might not feel such definite kicks as there's not so much room, but if the baby seems to be moving less often it's best to get it checked out as the placenta can start to run out of steam towards the end.

What does it mean if baby goes on overdrive????!!! I honestly have never felt so much movement as last night - I kept expecting baby to burst through my stomach!:D (and she has uber-hiccups at least 3 times a day at the moment!!)

Awwwww cute! Mine has hiccups usually twice a day at the moment, it's such a funny feeling! My bubs is still in overdrive too - all this talk of movements slowing down because they are running out of room is nonsense as far as I'm concerned. I have exactly the same feeling as you - that he is trying to get out through my skin! :rotfl:

Morning all. Happy labour vibes to all that need them! I've been keeping up with this thread but not posting much, not much to report really!

However, this week I'm finally at the halfway mark (20 weeks) and have my scan on Thurs - I'm SO nervous it's unbelievable but OH keeps telling me to be positive. Just terrified that something might be wrong at this stage

Can feel the occasional poke and prod but nothing big and not consistent yet, looking forward to the day she/he is really kicking properly!
