Oh Claretsgirl, heres hoping baby decides to get moving soon!

Missymoo, that sounds like some serious nesting. :j

I have no advice about ante natal classes, mine were over 10 years ago so I can barely remember them! I remember the midwives took us for the first hour and the physio for the second half for relaxation classes (basically how to put a pregnant lady to sleep, it was bliss!) Our midwives were lovely and tried not to go into too much detail, my friend was due 8 weeks after me and went to different classes - their midwives went into so much detail about c sections that one of the dads ran off to be sick (and his wife was expecting twins!)

I'm off to the Childrens hospital with youngest this morning, she has a cyst on her wrist. She got all excited when I told her we were going to Royal - turns out she thought we were going to maternity to see baby!! She'll have to be patient and wait for Tuesday.

    Morning gang.

I am 25+1, and STUPIDLY decided on a whim to get on the scales this morning after resolutely not bothering as I can't see the point in watching one's weight creeping up and up.

As a result I am feeling depressed as I weigh a lot more than I'd thought (naievety at it's finest).

Just wondered if anyone knew what the average weight gain was/what anyone had gained by 6 monthsish? (If they don't mind sharing of course!)

Bah Im a muppet. Should have taken the batteries out of the darn things and stayed blissfully ignorant.

I have resolved to get back to my previous weight before my son 3 years ago though :)

    Morning MV :)

I've been very very depressed with the whole weight gain through pregnancy but have weighed myself weekly to keep check.... at my 25 week weigh in I had gained 1st 13lb :O started at 9st 10lb and 5ft 7in.

I'm now 37 weeks and have gained 3st 8lb :( Never have I weighed anything like this. Aiming to get down to 9st 5lb by xmas!

Have been up constantly in the night, been to pee 3 times and have had all sorts of weird pain across bump.

Feels like I have done a massive workout and its the next day and im sore. Since waking it has come around my back too. Its a constant pain though so not sure what to think.

First baby and just short of 37 weeks, midwife said baby is engaged yesterday but dont really think that means much.

    Thanks for sharing Niknok :)

You're the same height as me. I started pregnancy at just under 10st (9st 13 or something) and this morning at 25 weeks I am 10st 13.

As I got on the scales I said out loud to myself 'I reckon itll be 10st 5 or nearabouts'!! :rotfl:

I was about 9st 7 before I got pregnant with my son, and although I did lose most of the weight after he was born, I never got rid of the last half stone..through laziness more than anything!

Your doing really well then hun :) 1 stone is good going at 25 weeks :) I was up to 11st 9lb :rotfl: I have gained 10lb in 2 weeks and havent ate anything out of the ordinary, mentioned it to midwife and she wasnt concerned, thinks it could be the heat from the weekend. 13st 5lb now!!

I have to say that breastfeeding is great for dropping a lot of the lb's fairly quickly. I always thought that must be a myth, but it does seem to be true.

Having said that, I craved lots of sugar and biscuits/cakes etc whilst bf'ing, so I was kind of hindering my progress somewhat :rotfl:

Thanks for the encouragement anyway :) I'm trying to remind myself that I'm not too shabby for a 40 year old, and the fact I am pregnant at all I should be grateful for, so I'll stop whining now :)

Oh you guys are brave getting on the scales, I don't even have any in the house! Normally 10st, but I feel I've put on quite a bit this time round. Fingers crossed it will drop off quite quickly, planning on breastfeeding again that seems to help!
Feeling shattered this morning, awful nights sleep, just couldn't get comfortable after having my whooping cough jab, my arm is agony! then ds was up at 1 till 330 then again at 545 and didn't go back off, he is teething his molars bless him and really struggling with it. Not to mention the massive eight legged freak that ran across the floor at me! Not a good night!
    Xx
