Claree - I have gestational diabetes and am a human pin cushion as well! I know its a bit obvious but make sure you are well hydrated if they need to get a blood sample from you, it makes the veins much easier to find (although I know the glucose ones are usually fasting so its a right pain) Hopefully the glucose tests will come back clear.

I've been to my sisters for a wee spot of waxing this morning (its our mums graduation on Saturday so we're getting spruced up!) she hasn't seen me in a couple of weeks and was amazed at size of bump, its suddenly sprouted! I was sitting earlier and tummy was wriggling like mad so tried to film it, as soon as I turned the camera on he stopped moving!!!

I didn't realise I was supposed to fast before my appointment so I had a few gulps of diluten juice last night which I'm pretty sure is sugar free but might not be. I also have no idea how much I drank or what time it was at 'cause it was the middle of the night - hoping it's that though.

My tiny human seems to stop moving when someone's paying attention or my OH has his hand on my bump - infuriating already :rotfl:

I wouldn't worry about a few mouthfuls of fluid - it's so they can get an idea of your glucose levels when you haven't had any sugar put into your system. Its not like you've been guzzling coke or lucozade!

Oooh yeah mmmmm rice krispies, I could quite fancy some. Hmmm shame I haven't got any. Think it might be cornflakes instead. Need to make Roos tea really just too achy to get up!

Also starting to inwardly panic more-- what if my baby comes early?--haven't done my hospital bag, washed any baby clothes, our house is not ready to move into, my old room at my Mum's is like a baby shop warehouse, everything still in boxes waiting to be moved to the house OH is still renovating for us, if it comes early I will just have to get the moses basket out and bring him/her home to our teeny tiny, full up-no baby gated-1 bed flat!!!!!!!!!

I am with you Dippy :( 35+3 and we're not in our new home either - we had to rip all of the kitchen tiles off at the weekend as tiler did an appalling job - now can't get it tiled for a good 2 weeks and have to get more tiles!

I was painting door frames and staining skirting at the weekend - this weekend I will be staining pine doors and cleaning! I really just wanted to rest a bit in late pregnancy - but alas it hasn't yet happened....as I am still working full time also :( I don't know what I have got and what I haven't got as its still all in boxes and bags. AND worse still.....I am planning a homebirth - its laughable isn't it!:eek: (still haven't got a pool - nor even a place to put an actual pool and my birth ball is still in its box!!!!).

Thanks Bigbird and Lola. The thing is I was leaking (only a little) and now it seems to have stopped. If anything my breasts seem smaller!!
Anyway I see the midwife tomorrow so I will see what she says. I've tried a long walk, eating pineapple, running down the road and still nothing happening. What's the betting it will all happen on Saturday when the football is on!!? X
Sorry NikkiAnn I have never been to one of those.

Oh bless you clarets, apparently you need to eat approx 7 pineapple for it to have tr desired effect, I think it would probably have an unwanted upset tummy effect too. Walking is good and of course good old fashioned sex, that's what brought Roo along... Although I can imagine its not the first thing on your mind :). I've had lots of Braxton hicks today but that's all. Thinking about repacking my hospital bag again....

    Hi ladies,

You know, I can't work out if I am infected with a bug or not as my tum is decidedly dodgy. I don't do bugs lol.

We had our second parentcraft lesson tonight and it was really informative. It was about breast feeding and she emphasised the importance of us mummies-to-be doing what feels right for us.
