You really do have my sympathies. Give your doctor a ring in the morning. Maybe seeing a physiotherapist might help.0 -
Thanks so much snozberry and kitten pie. I'll speak to the midwife tomorrow and see what she says, and hopefully get an appt with the Dr. Through the day it's bearable but by the evening it just goes and I can barely walk. God listen to me, so sorry for whinging I know a lot of you feel like that all the time with your SPD. I really really feel for you m, as just feeling like this some of the time is doing me in!0

Just be warned - I had NHS physio due to my back and it wasn't great. It was a group session where we were talked at for two hours. They then put the fear of god in us by telling us that if we don't do our exercises then our, being crude, fannies could fall out. Seriously. It was awful.0

Me! First baby and its what I have planned (note planned - I am aware that it could go horribly wrong of course and I end up in hospital!).
Its a no brainer for me - in hospital I get a midwife occasionally assisting me but having to share her (and possibly also a horrible little room if all the birthing suites are being used); at home I get 2 dedicated midwives and all my home comforts!
I will of course have to be extra quiet so as not to disurb the neighbours.....but a home birth is very much what I would like!:)0 -
I'd never consider a home birth only because of the mess and it just doesn't appeal to me. With my first I started off MW led, but my DD has other ideas, she wasn't back to back, but she wasn't the right way round either so I struggled for hours and in the end needed an episiotomy (sp?) and Ventouse so ended up in consultant led.
I'm hoping this one takes a quicker and easier route out, fingers crossed!!
:rotfl: I feel exactly the same way about this! Can you imagine the mess to clean up after just giving birth? :rotfl:
Plus also I bled like a pig both births, first needed stitches, second didn't luckily. Plus OH wouldn't be much support as he worries so much. Plus, last birth, while in the bath, I used a whole canister of air. They had to get me another huge one out :rotfl: they only take little ones to home births so I'd be using looks 10 of them
Congrats Helen. I'll change the list for youWhat's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -

Not nessacerily (?sp) if they're very busy, they will tell you to come in. It depends how their teams are set up. Happened on OBEM. I find the midwives nicer in hospital in our area anyway. The ones that come to houses really don't want to be there. One even told me she hates doing the births, just prefers doing bloods and stuff. :eek:What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -

Tbh, it makes me giggle looking back. How about telephoning some private practices or maybe looking on netmums or NCT for suggestions??
Bad backs are awful and you don't want it to zap your enjoyment of your final few weeks.0
