I'm really tired today.. So I cooked sausage and mash for me, OH and 4 of the children only for OH to say 'oh I'm not really hungry'... So I replied.. 'nice of you to tell me after I struggled to stand here in pain for half an hour cooking food for everyone, if I had known you didn't want it I'd have thrown pizza in for the children instead.. how to make me and my efforts feel appreciated in one sentence!!'

He sat down and ate his dinner.... and I should bloody well think so too!

!!!!!! me right off it did! Cheeky git!

Oooh pigpen, I'd have tipped it over his head the way I'm feeling at tht moment, so I don't blame you at all for being jarred off! OH has started annoying me by saying 'what, already?' every time I say im going to bed, no matter how late it is. Grrrrr. I'd like to see him carrying around my huge weight of baby, dealing with tht heart burn, piles and sore legs!!!

Im only 15 weeks and dealing with this..but my OH is pretty nice about it to be fair. :o I went to bed at 9 last night and my OH is all 'its sataday night' but doesnt like letting me go to bed by myself (I can't sleep without him thier sad I know but im just weird with sleeping it took ages for me to be able to sleep with him thier and now Im used to it I cant sleep when he isnt thier!! :rotfl:)

I do wish he would understand this whole morning sickness abit more though...he really is helpful but sometimes he will make such a deal about making little one's dinner (were using jars atm) or changing a nappy. He sees me sitting thier on my bum and assumes im being lazy but its just so much effort to do anything when im feeling so !!!!!!

Thanks ladies, today was much better. Journey wasn't too bad. Hardly slept last night, so my half sleepy state helped me to be dozy and I think helped!
Can't believe you get your baby tomorrow Helen, jealous!
Good luck Saffa, hopefully not long now.x

    Good luck today Helen!

And fingers crossed your baby puts in an appearance soon, Saffa.

Hope your back improves soon Missy.

My day off today, so toddler gym for DS and I this afternoon. I'm going to be crippled by this evening.

Advice please, im wanting to breast feed the baby when it arrives but having such a small age gap between toddler (17 months) and the new baby, I was thinking of getting a breast feeding sling, so that I can still play with him. Does anyone have any experience of using these and which would you recommend? I don't think I'm going to be able to afford a shop bought one, was hoping for an eBay one, so any advice would be greatly appreciated x

I breastfed all mine with the smallest age gap being 13 months... I'd say, don't bother with a sling, they are impractical and never sit right, it makes more work for you. The older ones learn quickly that baby is having his dinner so they have to wait 5 minutes for whatever they want. I found giving them something to drink/nibble/occupy them to the feeding times was far more effective. You cannot entertain them forever and they need to learn to play independently and realise they cannot have 100% attention all the time, better it happens from day one than trying to retrain them in 6 months. So long as they can come for cuddles and stories while you are feeding it is enough.

I found after the first few days they were more than happy to trot off and do their own thing while the baby fed.

14 weeks today :D starting to show properly now, not just fat :rotfl: but only a teeny tiny amount.

Finally managed to get DD2 into a nursery (been so lazy about doing it, more from a money factor) so she's going in every wednesday for 3 hours while I help the school with their swimming which will be nice to see DD1 doing school swimming :) Then DD2 starts nursery 15hrs a week in September  I can't believe how quickly both of their lives have gone by! Scary thing is, DD1+2 will both be in school together from September 2014!!

    How is everyone today?
What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..

    Morning!

    Happy 14 weeks neneromanova! :)
I am 14 weeks today too, but i'm not starting to show much at all :( Pretty sure my big belly is still all fat and bloat! However, got OH to feel the 'bump' just above my pubic bone and he agrees there is def something there! So hopefully it'll 'pop' out soon!!
