32 weeks  I really don't know where that time has gone. I need to start thinking about hospital bags and getting baby clothes washed and sorted soon.
And congrats to you on team pink! You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
Just popping in to say all went well at my appointment today, thank goodness. I was seen promptly, the consultant was lovely and everything seems great. Baby is expected to weigh around 7lb when she is born so we'll see about that when the time comes. They've got so much wrong I'm half expecting it to be a boy now!
Take care all. X0 -
Hallo ladies
Glad that your appt went well this morning claretsgirl
Would someone mind telling my baby that it is time to arrive now? Bubs has not listened to me, DH or the midwife thus far. I am more than ready for baby to arrive; my feet are so swollen they hurtbut apparently its because baby is an excellent position for delivery...
Mrsj, I've been living in leggings with oversize jumpers the past few weeks. If I go out, I put trousers on that sit below the bump, but as soon as I get in, I change back into my leggings - by far the most comfy item of clothing I own at the moment.
Where I am (Kent) they NHS antenatal classes are also called Parentcraft. I only did those and found them very good. We had quite a small group at our classes (4x2hr classes) - ranging from 10 - 6 at each class so not oversubscribed at all. Once baby arrives, I'm planning to try out some of the Surestart groups - more to give me something to do, and some adult conversation.
I lost it with DH last night; am finding being home without anyone to speak to, and a seemingly endless wait for baby, very trying now. He spent about 15hrs over the weekend working, and has worked every night this week - even refused to come to dinner with me at my cousin on Monday because he had to work. Sure the overtime pay would be a bonus, but he "forgets" to claim it and so doesn't get it paid so I end up being on my own all day, and effectively all evening too and for what?
Sorrythat turned into a bit of a rant; but I'm getting quite fed up now.
I'm gonna slink off now and try to improve my mood!
take care ladies and hope you've having a better day than I am,
Saf xx0 -
I'm going to have a moan because OH is a PITA and just bit my head off because I said my hips hurt just standing up and I am not interested in how many books the girls dragged off the shelf when we are discussing moving cupboards, Dots cot and putting up a futon... I am not in a good place today, I am tired after Dot had me up from 4am having had about 4 hours sleep the night before, I hurt and I am fed up.
Ok.. I shall now try to get a grip and stop being a child.
And now the landline phone is ringing.. WHY!?!?!?! I NEVER EVER answer it, in fact we don't know where the handset it so could only use it on handsfree anyway.. I might just unplug it TBH. If I want to talk to you, you have my mobile number if not.. get the hint!

Lol I didn't need to ask about braxton hicks after all as I now know. Not pleasant but they are part of the course. I made the mistake of telling my OH as the news sent him straight into panic mode. Bless him!

MrsJ - I went for the boot cut maternity jeans from next. I just don't think I suit skinny jeans (plus at 40 I think they're not such a good look unless you are stick-like!)
I do find the bump band cuts into my skin a bit after a few hours, the elastic round the top is really tight.
I've just had a friend over for tea who brought me a whole bag of maternity stuff. Some of it wasn't really my thing, but there were a few summery tops amongst it all that might be ok.
The only thing I really want to wear at the moment are my mothercare yoga pants! I would highly recommend them..they are the comfiest item of clothing EVER!

After an all day argument with the agency about my wages (underpaid again!) I have decided to give in and just let it go and not let it annoy me anymore. Still not told the agency I'm pregnant though, should maybe do that...lol.
Woke up last night with horrible cramp in my calves. I've never had cramp before so at first I had no idea what was going on but honestly I thought someone was trying to saw off my legs! No cankles as yet though - fingers are swelling. I'm very tempted to take off my wedding/engagement rings because I'm worried about having to have them cut off and ruining them. I don't like the idea of not wearing them though!
Hope everyone's good and those having a bad day can join my "not giving a hoot" clubGoing to spend the next hour in work looking at baby things online - so there!

I have several pairs.. and 3 pairs of leggings and 2 pairs of Next bootcut jeans. I don't fit in skinny jeans as I have chunky legs. I didn't fit in them when I was 7.5 stone I stand no chance now!
The 2 tiddlies are being absolute monsters today..moreso than usual.. I have a really sore throat too..

I'm in the same club!! Only got nine working days left (after I finish at 6 today) until holiday/maternity leave, and cannot be bothered any more! My stupid boss is still putting lots of pressure on, making sure she squeezes every last drop out of me, but I do have the occasional browse online at baby things too... In fact, after all the chat about clothes.... I'm off to look at Mothercare yoga pants
MV - I think I might get the bootcut jeans in a size bigger than the skinny jeans I bought, might try with the overbump band instead as the underbump band is really tight now.0
