Yay choronla!! Boo to the back to back though.

I did nct and nhs. Nct was good for meeting people, nhs better for learning about your particular hospital. Our nhs was a big group, but most people seemed to be in a similar age range / background (i was also not expecting that given the area). Not sure I learnt too much as i'd already read prolifically but would do both again. Ask your midwife about the nhs ones and also about possible hospital tours

Congratulations Chonoria :) gas the hot stuff worked lol, we tried that yesterday, just wore me out! Just at the Drs for my glucose test, god I hate lucozade! Won't know the results til Tuesday, feel a bit sick now though as haven't eaten anything for 12 hours. the only good thig is I get to sit and relax for a couple of hours before work whilst OH looks after little one all day which is really unusual!

    How is everyone

Helen's on Monday and Saffa's due date tomorrow so then I'm next. Eeeek! Although I'm afraid it's a bit of a wait as MW doesn't think anything will be moving anytime soon. Will find out more at 40+3 scan.x

I know what you mean, There are very few times when you can just sit for 2 hrs and not do anything... enjoy! (even if the lucozade does make you a bit sicky)

Woah I feel like I'm moving up the list really fast now! Got a load on at work and with uni for the next month so just hoping it all settles by June so that I can relax and enjoy baby-time.

Congratulations Chonorla! Good to hear he wasn't the big heifer you expected :)

I'm also pleased to hear that your back-to-back labour was so short. My DS was back to back and, reading up on it, there is a good chance this one will be too as my tilted uterus apparently makes it more likely. I'm hoping to get it over with quickly!

I did NCT classes and found them really useful and made some good friends there. I'm still in touch with the group now, over 2 1/2 years later. It's also nice that half the group (4 of us) are now either pregnant again or just had a second baby. I had nothing against the NHS classes, but they cancelled the ones I should have done, offered me earlier ones but I was on holiday at the time, and by the time the later ones came around I'd done the NCT ones and didn't see the point.

I found my NCT classes really good too, especially for the social side. We are all still friends and a couple have had a 2nd (one has had twins!) and another is also pregnant due about a month after me, which is nice.

I think this time round will be much different though. I'm hoping I won't be so terrified and wont feel compelled to be doing things ALL the time, which I actually found exhausting.

How far along are you now BB?

Thanks lazy wife, I'm just waiting on my third set of bloods to be done. Just popped to sainsburys, which is prob not the best idea when you've been fasting for 13 hours, just grabbed tons of food to cram in as soon as they release me lol. Loving salty things at the moment, pretzels especially so bought about a million bags lol. Really really don't want to go to work just too tired but I guess it all helps. Havr the hugest credit card bill to pay off!

We are doing both NCT and NHS classes - went to the first NHS class earlier this week and thought it was really good - I'm sure they don't go into as much detail as the NCT classes will, but it was a good introduction to labour and I feel a bit more clued up than I did before, even though I'd done lots of reading. I think it depends a lot on who is running the course - ours was run by a really nice knowledgeable midwife. We also met another couple that I think we might get on well with, and they live a couple of streets away from us - we'll see them again at the class next week so I might swap numbers (I feel a bit weird trying to make new friends again!!!).

I'm officially too fat for my maternity jeans now (MV - did you get those Next skinny jeans in the end? I'm just finding them too tight, but they were great up until now!) so need to find some new clothing options.. went to look for some nice tunic tops last night to wear with leggings but no success. Don't want to spend a lot for the last couple of months, but don't want to only wear my tracksuit bottoms either. Maybe just some more mat. jeans a few sizes bigger...

It's ffffFriday! hooray. Hope everybody has some nice weekend plans. :)
