Two days overdue but not getting impatient or fed up just yet!
Due to be induced a week on Monday, can anyone who has been induced before let me know what it's like?should I ask for a sweep before that day?
Hope everyone is well

I haven't experience of being induced but a friend who was 2 weeks late recently was booked in to be induced but had a sweep a week before and went into labour before being induced - so it saved being induced!
Good luck whatever you choose!:o0 -
Hi, realised I haven't posted in ages - have been reading along every day on my phone but been madly busy at work and then it seems the last thing I want to do when I get home is to switch on the laptop!
All well here, counting down to finishing work for maternity leave (less than 5 weeks to go, hooray!). We are starting to get a bit ready for baby, have been given some lovely second hand baby clothes and a few other bits. I bought the car seat last week but had a right faff when I realised I'd ordered the wrong one online, so thought I'd better go to the shop again and check what's compatible with the Oyster pushchair ... went to mothercare and an independent pram shop locally and the customer service was APPALLING in both and I think I knew more than the staff did about what we need! Anyway, blah blah boring boring I've just battled with the internet again for an hour and finally bought the Britax Babysafe car seat... i'm pretty sure that's the right one this time!
Had midwife last week (28 wk appointment) and all fine except for a trace of sugar in my urine. Midwife not concerned at the moment as I have the GTT in a couple of weeks and she'll see what the results of that are. Made me think twice about my (probably far too high!) sugar intake though, I don't want to do anything which puts the baby at risk, and I definitely don't want to have to go to the 'big' hospital (at the moment I am planning to go to the local midwife-led unit).
Hope everybody is having a nice Easter weekend - am so enjoying having an extra day or two off work!0 -
Evening,
I have started to walk like a duck now, it was hurting me walking so much earlier , I've never felt like I've done this before either but I know I'm doing it and it's not good,
I Can also tell that I have dropped loads aswell and I know I've got another 3more weeks till c section but I really can't see myself lasting that long
Hope everyone else is ok xx
Gota go now and order my diner now as I can't be bothered to cook0 -

Think I have done the list right but let me know if anything needs changing/adding on it.
No news from me. Think baby is far to comfortable to think about making an appearance. It has given me time to pack a hospital bag anyway!
Hope everyone is well and having a lovely Easter weekend. xxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

I'd like to add my baby to the list but I just tried to add myself to the list but looking at the preview, it didnt look like the links would stay intact and i didnt want to lose them. Would someone mind adding me for a scheduled c-section on 21 May please? (or let me know if the links dont show up on preview and it will work anyway!).
We are approaching 30 weeks and OH has had a few good nights kip in hospital which has helped massively.
Thanks for all of the suggestions i had about how to help. There isnt a free wifi at the hospital so no internet access in the ward but thanks for the suggestions going down that route. I have found some good books today and we are taking the house off the market so she can design the spare room for baby (while i do the graft). OH can get stuck into some crafty/painting decorations of baby things to keep her sane and i'll do the manual stuff, material purchasing (+sewing machining).
Thats an update from me. I had a quick scroll back to see if there was anything i could help with. The only thing i could find was a bit tenuous:figured that we wouldn't want baby sick and wee on carpets!
Baby wipes are brilliant on carpets (and car upholstery). I used them to valet my car before part exchanging!
Hope you are all doing well.

I'm fed up of being pg already
I will never know what its actually like due to my OH having that task! But it always helps to know theres someone worse off to make the situation feel better! Imagine 3 weeks of being pg in a hospital ward, having light bleeding regularly, one scary 2 day incident of having contractions at 28 weeks due to a heavy bleed and being nil by mouth for a day (and light meals only for one) in prep for a c-section. Facing another 7 weeks (if all goes well) in a hospital ward where obs are at 6.30 and women having contractions and new born babies are regular overnight room partners!
Hope that helps! W+J0 -
Morning lovely people,
Happy Easter to you all. Just a quick post from me to say I've queue jumped a little! Connor Nelson Francis was born on the 25th March at 9.06am weighing 8lb 11.
Labour was fairly short & simple & done with no pain relief, although I did end up with a tear. Aftercare at the hospital was appalling but that's another story!
Good luck to you all, its amazing to be a mummy :j
