We definitely weren't gonna find out the gender but as the 20 week scan gets closer I'm starting to have second thoughts. We'll see when we get there - quite soon actually, it's on 28th March.

Abis if you're lurking. Thanks for asking after me. As above physically I'm feeling really good and the anxiety about things going wrong has gone too. Weirdly though I still feel quite secretive. I had a real taste of how painful things can be in the time between my last mc and this pregnancy and as illogical as it sounds I feel guilty for being pregnant when I already have 2 kids and there are loads of women on the ttc threads who deserve this so much more than me. I'm also worried that people who have no idea about these things will think that the baby we lost last summer will be forgotten when the truth is we have a little grave in our back garden where we buried our child.

All a bit conflicting and complicated but I am also ridiculously excited about this baby and just feel so blessed.

Sorry, hope you see this. Don't think it's appropriate to post this stuff on ttc. Part of those guilty feelings I guess.

Well Ladies,

I'm now in labour ward with pre eclampsia, have had one steroid shot today getting the other tomorrow and c section has now been brought forward to this Thursday. Excited but scared, I'll be 36 weeks and 4 days though.

Don't think I'll be getting much sleep, having a dextrose drip due to the effect of the steroids on my diabetes which will fund until after delivery and also having to have fetal monitoring all night.

Hopefully next time I post it'll be my BA.

Courgette I understand completely the 'guilt' thing. I was on the ttc thread last night chatting with someone, and suddenly felt like a fraud and that I shouldn't be there.

I have to admit I used to find pregnant graduates popping up on the ttc thread intensely irritating, offering their 'words of wisdom', and there was me doing it..what a bozo.

Glad you are feeling so well and the anxiety seems to have gone. I am feeling happier too since I passed the 12 week mark, I was a complete wreck until then.

I think I have felt the baby moving a couple of times too! I recognise the feelings from my last pregnancy, although I thought it would be too early.

As for scales - I'm not even thinking about it. I'll have baby weight to lose anyway so I might aswell just lose a bit more I'm determined not to be fat-mum though so I'll go for it hell to leather when baby's here.
