Hello ladies - hope everyone is feeling well I am not on the Facebook group ( I am not a fan) either, so only get to speak to you ladies here

anderson8 - my scan appointments have all come via appointment letter. Not written on my hand held notes at all. Would have thought the 2 appointments you have in your notes were made so that they were after your 20 week scan. Did you get a letter for your 12 week scan? I see a Consultant and had a GTT and they all came from different people.

Thanks for all the support regarding my MA, I have felt like giving up a few times but I know I can manage it but am starting to feel 30 weeks pregnant and more tired too Though have just had a letter through to say my iron count is low again at 8.2, so really need to watch what I am eating. I have had a rubbish appetite recently and no amount of sickness tablets or Rennies are improving that We (well the children are helping :eek:) to make home made pizzas for tea, so will smother mine with spinach :rotfl:

Yey to all those lovely nurseries getting ready out there!!! (Maybe a little photo would be nice if at all possible ) I will always be insanely jealous of a dedicated nursery because none of my children have had one - we are currently still working out how on earth we are going to get any sort of cot/bed in our room for the arrival of baby - we no longer have the large master bedroom and there is no room to swing a cat in here!!! Didn't they used to sleep them in drawers years ago :rotfl: Am sure baby will be comfortable enough in a nice spacious Ikea drawer :rotfl:

Will join you on the grumpy front too I am like jekyll and hyde somedays. I am usually quite laid back, but have been an absolute nightmare this week ordering DH around the house to finish DIY jobs that need doing (after he has been up at 5am for work all day...). For some reason they haven't bothered me for the past 6 months, but they need doing NOW all of a sudden.... Most are only little things, I am quite houseproud anyway but the smallest thing is annoying me now :rotfl: Poor DH, roll on tomorrow when we are pulling out the 18 foot of fitted wardrobes in the Master bedroom............He will be running for the hills!

Perhaps I am having an early "nesting" period.....:D

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and is a little less scary than me

I know the feeling After the really poo start to the week, the fact I've developed sinusitis over the last 24hrs (which I'm now on antibiotics for again) & I am 4 days overdue despite 2 sweeps, 2 curries & multiple occasions of what got us here in the first place....I'm also feeling a little grumpy!

I cannot wait for Bean to put in an appearance now, I JUST WANT TO GO INTO LABOUR!!!! (Sorry for shouting I just felt the need )

I hope everyone else is having a bit better time, I had a great pregnancy up until the last couple of weeks when I just seem to have felt rough as anything & seem to have grown no end!

Hello everyone!

I've been lurking over the past couple of days, been feeling a bit worn out and huge like a beached whale. Can't believe I'm now 37 weeks classed as term, not long to go now.

Had paid for a private test for group b strep (GBS) as they don't routinely test on the NHS and I have family history and it came back positive yesterday so have to see the consultant next week to discuss what will happen next. I think the two choices are to either have antibiotics whilst in labour or just be closely monitored for it afterwards. Was a bit freaked out with the positive results but I'm just glad it has been picked up now.

Been to first NCT class today, was good and enjoyed meeting some new people, poor DH has now gone to work until midnight so I've got my feet up chilling.

Glad your scan went well Saffagal and that you've been given some good tips to help with the PGP, I've found mine improved greatly once I'd been to physio and started doing the exercises.

Exciting getting baby things! We took delivery today of mosses basket mattress, a lovely new bouncy/rocker chair that turns into a toddler seat and also a new steriliser set, I cannot believe the amount of stuff that came in the set. Planning on breast feeding but just want everything in place should I decide to express or bottle feed. Sadly didn't get to breast feed DD due to being so unwell after I had her so determined this time lol.

Anyone else not breasted first and successfully managed with 2nd? I am not going to punish myself though if I can't cope and revert to bottles but really hope I get to give it a good shot.

Once I know what's happening re induction or c section date I'll let you know queen_b to update on the list. I know I'll only have 8 max to go all going well and to plan

Had a rather lazy day today, though productive too. Had such a bad night's sleep last night my arm was aching from my whooping cough jab so couldn't sleep on my right, for the first time ever in my life suffered with heartburn and it was so sore and made me feel so ill - and naturally I'd nothing in for it. Finally fell asleep to wake up with the most excruciating cramp in my calf... and the loo breaks! My leg still hurt when I got up this morning Sorry ladies, enough moaning from me!

Was so cross when I woke DH up this morning as we had to take the cat for her jabs at the vet; he had the cheek to tell me he was still tired when he slept solidly all through the night!

I'll take some pics of the nursery tomorrow and try to upload them. I keep going in and just looking, thinking - wow... only a few more weeks.

Ooh missty! How exciting getting your delivery of baby goodies! Where did you get the bouncy chair that converts to a toddler chair from?

Sorry to hear you're positive for gbs Queen_B, but on the plus side, you know now so plans can be put in place to deal with it. Yay too for reaching term!

chonorla, good luck with removing the cupboards. We did that just after moving into our home - it made such a difference!

Good evening ladies. Hope you dont mind if I join you. I'm 26 weeks and due on 11th May.
Morocha your baby is gorgeous. You must be so proud. Congratulations.
I feel like I'm having a lousy time at the moment (it's probably just hormones) as I've been feeling really down. I've had quite a few problems with my pregnancy and had to go to hospital three times already. One of the reasons I haven't been posting but now I could do with the support.
It doesn't help that I'm not feeling too good this weekend and may have to go to hospital again and OH is away somewhere where I have no way of contacting him. I'm feeling very angry towards him at the moment. Am I being unreasonable and oversensitive?

I've had heartburn for the first time in my life too while being pregnant. I'm finding a glass of milk just before bed really helps.

Am with you on the leg cramps too. Had it the last 2 nights really bad. I think it's where I'm dehydrated. I hop around the room moaning and swearing. Goodness knows what the neighbour thinks!
