  • Hello ladies

Dizzi- happy that finally things are improving for you, one less thing to worry about I suppose.

I've just been to aquanatal, lo has moved so his limbs are at the other side and it hurts when he kicks/punches. He's always been the other way so it feel like he's bursting through skin this way, I asked him to move last time and he had by the time I woke in the morning so hoping he'll do the same this time.

I've done most of my washing, couldn't wait any long after we built the nursery!

Is anyone having a baby shower? My sister is organising mine thank god :)
Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!
  • Afternoon All,

Hope we're all well and enjoying this very windy(!) and sunny day???:j

Went for my 28 week check up and there was glucose, protein and lucocytes in my wee :( so they're sending it off but said it might just be an infection. Hope its nothing too serious. I feel fine in general, even getting a couple of 2-3 hr blocks of sleep in between toilet trips in the night.

Tonight is a milestone in our house - for the first time in a year i am going to have a bath!!!!!!!!!! (I know you're all thinking 'poooeyyyy' obviously I only have a shower in my house!) My friend has been offering for ages and I'm having such a pants time at work, i need to destress so am off there after work for a nice soak. Got all my bath salts and oils all ready lined up!

Carpet man has been to fit new carpet in the nursery this morning, OH said it looks ace......but they've had to take the door off cos it wont shut!!! So gonna have to do some planing of the door at the weekend. Can finally put some furniture in there tonight and try to sort room out.

Hope people are ok today and not too much baby suffering? Cant believe I'm 36 on the list!! I was about 42 when I joined this thread not so long ago.

But I want a golden goose daddy and I want it right NOW!!!!!

    Yes Verucca dear. :rotfl:
  • Afternoon!

Mrs_B Sending you labour vibes and so sorry for your loss

Mrsahworth2b Fingers crossed for the birth centre.

I really sympathise with those with hip pain as I'm now suffering too! Stairs are my enemy at the moment! Antenatal classes are now booked, midwife told OH about a daddy's group on Saturday mornings where they get bacon sarnies so he's looking forward to those! Think they should do sarnies at mums groups too.

Cant believe I'm now in the 20s on the list!! Though I still have the feeling I'll pop early, just hope he waits a little longer.

Hello ladies - finally saw my MW for the 3rd time in my pregnancy yesterday and all my 28 week blood tests have come back fine including my GTT. And I am only measuring 2cm over at this point :j which I am so thrilled about! With number 2 and 3 baby I was measuring about 6 cm over by this point. I do know things can change but am hoping I will not have to have another early induction due to my monster size babies!!! The Consultant who I will see in 2 weeks always measures generously, so am hoping I can convince him to let me go overdue, even if it means giving birth at home alone :o

Agree with all the ladies about the SPD, am suffering big style again with this one :o Sadly I am unable to take any form of pain relief as I am asthmatic and anaphylactic and tried the braces etc with the other 3 babies and nothing really worked :( Just doing my best not to aggravate it but its sad when I haven't even been able to pick up my 3 and 4 year olds since 16 weeks for a cuddle :( But not long to go.

Bought some blankets and a few babygros yesterday - from Next so 0-3 months is a nice and generous fit - as I have never had a baby fit in newborn and the others only fitted in 0-3 months for 2-3 weeks maximum, so I don't buy many anyway. But do think I need to get a move on with buying stuff! May wait till after the weekend as me and DH are ripping out an 18 foot fitted wardrobe in the large bedroom on Sunday so that my son and daughter can have the bunk beds as single beds - DD doesn't like them :( and it means we can look at partitioning the room when baby arrives so she can have her own girlie space :) which she will need sharing with 2 boys!

Dissertation title and plan has been agreed with my Senior lecturer and is due in at the end of February, and have been given the option of having a "Study break" (Apparently, they prefer you to have one of these on a MA, rather than just extensions like for a degree) for a while, so may take them up on that - seems rude not to! Was in the library for 7 hours yesterday and I am beginning to find it really tiring and have to keep wandering round as sitting that long is not good for the pelvis!!

Hugs to all of those who are starting to feel "very" pregnant and labour vibes to those who should no longer be pregnant!!!! xxxxxx

I wake up crabbit and usually am an emotional wreck at bed, lol. Try to not be too grumpy in morning with DD though. Even worse this mor ing as the darn dog woke me up at 5am wanting out for a pea, no good when Ive been up every hour as it is with my own night time trips to the loo:)

Yes me, I am in an awful mood today. Can't put my finger in it whatsoever. Had a rubbish nights sleep but felt raging from the moment I woke up this morning. And nothing DH can say or do makes me feel any better. I'm not normally a moody person so found these mood swings incredibly hard during pregnancy.

I am going for my haircut this afternoon and going to buy a large tub of pick and mix to scoff my face with!

Chonorla - Yaye for bump not measuring too big, must be a huge relief. I love Next babygros, can't wait for baby to arrive so I can buy more as I find they don't do very good unisex ones.

Hope everyone else is well and labour vibes to the boldies :D

  • Sorry for your loss Mrs B.

I'm another one with SPD, have seen physio a few times and apparently have an 'unstable sacroiliac joint' - whatever that means! I'm feeling not too bad at the moment after weeks of crippling pain in my lower back and leg every time I move - fingers crossed I'm over the worst of it now. Physio has given me crutches now to use until baby arrives but this just isn't practical. For a start I'm so clumsy I keep tripping over myself when I try to use them.

Has anyone else started snoring?? According to DH I now sound like a steam train whenever I fall asleep at night - I'm keeping him awake bless him. I tried getting some of those nasal strip things but they don't seem to work and leave funny marks on my face in the morning. Anyone got any stop snoring tips??

Hope everyone is doing well :)

I'm glad Im not the only grumpy one then!!! Today I've been ok, so far, still a few more hours though before I go to bed.

Msnigella , I'm snoring already last time I was pregnant it was in the last few weeks but I'm only 28 weeks nearly and I'm snoring again but I wake myself doing it as I'm so loud lol, my husband told me to shut up the other night lol. I did warn him though that I've started again .
I didn't try ne thing just gt onwith it, but did get told to lay on my back when I sleep, but I don't I have to be on my side
