Been washing some more baby clothes today, I am just pondering what to pack in my hospital bag for myself clothes wise? I know that I am not going to pop baby out and tummy will go flat but not sure whether to pack maternity wear or whether I would be ok with normal tops in say a bigger size up? If any mummies still lurk here would love to hear your thoughts?
Well i wore my check-in clothes out again but top was strechy and ruffled so looked ok. If you normally wear baggy/floaty tops they'll be fine. Not sure what happens if you need a section with dressings though.
Bottoms-maternity all the way. You'll need the extra waist room (still do here a month later but my normal clothes are tight fitting) and will want baginess/softness in the groin. Same style underwear as when going in if big enough for maternity pad. I'm back to pre preg weight but still have a bit of a flabby tummy. Don't forget a button down pajama top or similar for feeding and probably a ?aternity bra too. You probably won't need breastpads till milk comes in but pack some in case.0 -

Do they really have pictures of stretched ladygardens?? How appalling!
I think you might have to be a member to view the pics. I tried to look at some breastfeeding ones but could only see blank lines."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

:rotfl: I haven't seen any ladygarden pictures, they were all belly pictures. On BNB there wasn't a thread/section that was dedicated to them, people tended to post them on the birth announcement threads or there were a some dotted around on 3rd tri threads.
You need to be registered and logged in to see pictures which will why Fluff is seeing lines.
Savage - thanks for your comments, I've bought button down nighties from Primark and bigger knickers. I do have some black jogging pants which I have a feeling I will also pack, they are so comfy even now with my expanding bump so they should be ok with whatever it all looks like afterwards.I :heart2: saving money0 -
Blimey 37+6 Morocha, how fast has that come round? You are doing well to have still been cleaning your nana's house. My housework chores in pregnancy have been washing/drying clothes and cleaning the bathroom but doing it in stages. I am starting to find bending incredibly difficult as my back is starting to get really sore, even getting myself dressed is becoming a chore.
I've been annoying myself this morning trying to see if we can save money by changing energy suppliers. Uswitch says yes but I am always dubious about whether it's right or not. One energy company would not quote me as they said my usage figures were far too low, well I got these from my current supplier, live in a small house, don't have stuff on when we don't need it, cheeky beggars saying that to me. So I've given up for now. We are getting a new meter next week and I've no idea if they are putting a normal one in or going to put an eco 7 one in. Our current one is eco 7 and it's what came with the house historically. I'm guessing not many people have eco 7 nowadays so wondering if they will just put a normal one in.
Hmmm, off to find food.I :heart2: saving money0 -
Hi everyone!
Haven't posted recently but have been reading on my phone.
I'm really struggling with back / leg pain at the mo, docs think I have sciatia and tell me it 'should go away once baby's here' - not helpful!
I've booked in to see a chiropractor this afternoon, has anyone been to one before? I'm not sure what to expect and have kind of pinned all my hopes on this 'fixing' me.
32+5 today, really want to get organised now and make sure we've got everything we need for baby arriving. Seem to have bags of stuff everywhere so really need to sort it all out and work out what I have / what I still need.
Just worked out I now have 13 days left to work before my maternity starts - hoping I can last that long! When is everyone else starting maternity?0
