Are you on tablets for your hyperemesis? If not, maybe ask about getting some so that you can do the test.

Our GTT is a glucose drink rather than Lucozade, so it's flat. I wonder if you could have a glucose tablet (or two) rather than a drink? It's worth asking.

Baby went nuts about 20 minutes after I finished my drink

hngrymummy - I have been told to take a bottle of original lucozade with me by the MW, but good idea about the tablets.

Sadly yes have been in and out of hospital on a drip and on medication (cyclizine) 3 times a day since around 5-6 weeks pregnant. Last hospital stay just after xmas. I am thankfully no where near as bad as I was at the beginning this time (near organ failure :( and internal bleeding round the baby) but the nights and mornings are still not great for me!

moneypenny21 - thanks for the advice re carbs I will ask.

Many many thanks ladies for the advice, :D I will go armed with these "suggestions" ! Will continue test driving the lucozade in sips - if they could just do the test after about 2pm I am sure I could manage it. :(

Saffagal - How exciting for doing the nursery out :) Am very jealous, none of my babies have had a proper nursery :)

Congratulations mushypeas!!! and labour vibes to hngrymummy xxxx

Well did the baby hospital bag today (which possibly won't even get used as it is unless we get lucky, go to term and have a quick in and out - pardon the phrasing). Put ONE set of prem baby clothes into MY hospital bag as a just in case measure - however it's pointless really since if I deliver early again it'll be a naked in an incubator job for days and I know our NICUs like to deter from wearing own clothes as it's stuff to get lost.

Thank you chonorla; I'm especially enjoying it as struggled so much when we moved in just weeks after my mmc we had an empty room made even more so by the timing (extra room to our previous home). It makes it that much more special to me.

Hope that we all have a good week ahead ladies xx
  • Morning ladies!

Just a quick hello from me. I'm in a very good mood today, tbh i'm probably a bit delerious as I have a rubbish sleep last night but I have change my mat leave start date so I now only have 33.5 shiftf left in work yay!! Not that i'm counting or anything :j

Congrats to all the new mummies out there. Just a reminder that I know there is a "main" fb group but if anyone wants to join a different one you are more than welcome, just send a pm to 2ba3c and ask to be added to the group. We are quite a chatty bunch, probably why its so quiet on here :)

Thank you bamama for ur comment the other day xx.

Wonder how Rups is, although i read her posts in the FB group.

I have 2 wks and a half left !! unless J comes before that( i really want to think she will) otherwise as due date approches- 1 feb-, i will ask the MW to be induce soon after.
Can not cope with my moods, i am really a moody cow right now. I am fed up.

Oh morocha I know the feeling :) I finally finished work on Friday, mat leave officially starts tomorrow & I'm so ready for my due date (29th Jan) to be here! I'm not massively uncomfortable other than when Bean sticks feet in my ribs or when we have really wriggly days because there's not much room now :) Do you think the midwife will induce you earlier than 40+14? I know they'll set the date earlier but I'm not sure if they'd actually do it earlier?

It's been really quiet on here recently. I'm going to try & post a bit more now I've finished work so hopefully there'll be a few of us around or I'll be talking to myself :)

All the washing for Bean is done now, other than a couple of blankets from when I was a baby that need a good wash because they've just been stored in an under-bed storage box. Just a bit of sorting & tidying in the apartment to be done & we'll be completely set...when the cot finally turns up! We don't need a Moses basket because of the cot we've gone for but it's certainly taking its time to get to the shop & I'm starting to get irritated now seen as it should have arrived by Xmas!

I had thought about going swimming this lunchtime but the snow is really starting to come down now so I think I'm going to give it a miss because I don't fancy going flying! I'll get wrapped up & go out for a walk with mr B when he gets home from work :)

No sign of the boudoir bump shoot pics yet. Really excited to see them :)

Right, I'm going to have a bit of a potter about once Bean removes the feet from under my ribs :) Hope everyone is doing well, labour vibes & hugs to those who need them.

ohh mrs_b you and me are very close together !! We decided to get a cot and not to bother with a moses basket too. I also have the carrycot for my pushchair to put baby down in my front room. Hope your cot arrives this week ! I also have this urgency of having everything ready, i spent the last two days washing all the clothes i had for baby and re doing my hospital bag.

So jealous you have snow, we havent go any in North Wales. I said to my little DD that J was going to come when it is very cold and snow ( things you say in the summer- to get her understand a bit of time) It would be lovely if baby does decide to come and it is snowing outside.

My friend told me the other day that she was induced 1 day after her due date, no health or complications with her pregnancy, just that she was massive and needed relief:rotfl:
Glad your ML will start tomorow ..

Hi, I'm so uncomfortable at the moment I'm only 25 weeks , never felt this with my other two babies. I feel like I'm a week away from giving birth, so much pain in my lower stomach, actually feels like above pubic area to be truthful ( if you know what. Mean)

The baby was kicking my bladder so much last night in bed it was actually hurting me in the end.

My last midwife appointment was at 24 weeks and next is at 36 weeks, does that seem like a long time in between ?? Is it because it's my 3rd pregnancy??

Congratulations to all the new mummy's and good luck for everyone else that needs it! Xx
