I have 34k of debt and my hubby doesn't know. He knows I have some debt but not the full extent.
I can manage to put my bit into our joint account every month and work hard to keep tesco and other costs that come out of this account down so it pays for our (cheap) holidays etc etc.
He is saving to replace his car so isnt wanting to spend loads of money anyway.
I'm not going to tell him, not until its paid off, ages yet.0 -
Ooh, are you really planning to keep such a big secret until 2014? I realise that you're trying to deal with it yourself, & it's great that you're trying to sort it out rather than pretending it doesn't exist.I have 34k of debt and my hubby doesn't know. But how would you feel if you found out that your husband had been keeping such an important secret from you for all those years? And how do you think he'll react if he finds out before you're ready to tell him? I'm the sort of person who'd rather know about a problem & share the worry than live in blissful ignorance, only to find out much later, maybe if I'd made things worse without realising. I kept my wife in the dark for some years but it all got too much. No sleep chest pains etc. However on a positve note tackled the problem / confession and whilst she was angry / disappointed all is very very good now and the light at the end of the tunnel has started to blink we / my wife has sorted a plan and we can get on with life. I am such a lucky man really hard to explain how lucky really.0
