i do hear a variation of it here in Ireland too, esp among single mums..."im pregnant"...."who are you having it for" :D

I wish someone would have one for me :rotfl:

The 'pregnant to' phrase seems to be used a lot by people on Jeremy Kyle, I suppose in the absence of 'engaged to' or 'married to' then 'pregnant to' sounds like some kind of commitment.

I totally agree with you, that phrase winds me up too.

It always makes me think of a couple in my ante-natal classes where the dad was keen to push on through the breast feeding talk to expressing because he wanted to be able to feed the baby. The midwife told him that establishing breast feeding was going to be hard enough anyway without introducing expressing from the off just so he could have a go and there would be plenty of other ways for him to be close to the baby... like nappy changing :rotfl:

My laptop was in hibernation from last night and as I never actually logged off it may have appeared like I had logged on when I was actually logging off.

As for my opening title you are both correct.
I was actually being facetious as my co-worker lives in salford (originally from Ireland), hence me trying to mimic her accent.

Last night when my friend came over before I had a chance to say anything she asked me if I thought **** was having an affair?

She found a hidden mobile and had being reading the text ect for the last couple of weeks.

Anyway without going into great detail, I told her what I had witnessed and she was very very upset crying and making lots of noise I just held her.

She asked me if I knew who the other woman was and when I told her yes she hit the roof, I was really concerned that she might do something silly so I told her she was to stay with me until the morning.

We was up until late/early hours talking, crying drinking tea ect.

She wants to catch him in the act but I have told her to leave it for now and concentrate on the baby.
