Tesco value - The nappy bags are cheaper than poop bags for cleaning up after the dogs. Flour is flour, pasta, anything like that is usually fine where brand makes no difference. Bio washing powder I use for cleaning oven racks etc. Micro fibre cloths are fine and cheap too. Value chocolate for cooking, baking doesn't last long enough to worry about it.One day I might be more organised...........

value tortilla chips (tesco and adsa) are 19p (used to be 25p!! cant believe they got cheaper!) and are wonderful.
They're probably very bad for you (although at that price i cant imagine they can have too many ridiculous additives in!) but dont taste too salty, and go down great at a party!Moneysavinghopeful :rotfl:0 -
we went to a nice coffee shop in Durham once and ordered some lovely apple pie and custard.
We both raved about the custard and then watching what was happening in the kitchen later saw them opeing a tin of Asda Smartprice custard!!! been buying it ever since.

Just eaten a Basics chocolate mousse, and although it wasn't quite sweet enough for me, it was still nice and at 35p for 4 I will definitely be buying more.0

Today I've bought Tesco value chocolate whip (their own version of Angel Delight). It's only 3p per packet and if you use value powdered milk to make it too it makes a very cheap pudding.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Have decided to stop being so stuck up when it comes to value stuff and am considering putting the following things on my shopping list this month. Can anyone who is well versed on the Tesco value stuff please just go through list and tell me if there is anything on there that should seriously be avoided. Thanks.

Value apple juice is nice but does taste a bit like watered down apple juice. This time round I bought the Tesco own four pack of apple juice because it was only a few pence more and we prefer it.
Value flour - can't see any difference but I'm no gourmet chefValue chopped tomatoes are fine, but if you want extra tomatoey flavour then add a bit of puree.
As for the rest, sorry not used most, but Basics range of garlic bread are very nice (just tend to opt for a low fat version now instead). I don't use value sweetcorn coz I can't find one without sugar addedworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Has anyone tried Value squash? If so what's it like and what flavours are nicer.
I usually shop at Morrison's but close to others as well. Thanks.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Sainsbury's value creme caramel are nice
* sorry, should have said - they cost about 46p for a pack of 4. I think Tesco also have them at about the same price.0
