Making sorbet is really easy I whizz up about a 100g of frozen raspberries (don't let them thaw) in a blender with a splash of orange juice and serve straight away. The more Orange juice you use the runnier your sorbet, add it sparingly at first, you can always add more. I do this as then I know exactly whats in it.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I'd like to give a shout out for the Asda SP milk choc - it tastes like Galaxy (the texture's not quite right for Galaxy but for 24p-ish, I'm not complaining). I do buy Fairtrade stuff for the 70% choc but unfortunately I eat milk choc far too quickly to afford Fairtrade.
Tesco economy mushy peas are fine (works out much cheaper than buying them from the chippy for an occasional fish 'n' chip treat). Asda SP mushy peas, not so nice.0 -
Not read all ten pages so sorry if already mentioned but I've recently been getting Tesco Value yoghurts (8p each) and they're pretty alright - Peach Melba one is the best I think. Their 15p range is also good - I think I'm addicted to the Toffee one of them!!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Sainsburys Basics large cheese & tomato pizza is great value at 88p. It is huge (I've saved half for tomorrow, as it would easily feed four and we are just two). I dressed it with a few slivers of onion and a couple of sliced button mushrooms, and it was delicious with oven chips and salad.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

The Sainsburys value dishcloths and rubber gloves are brilliant they last for ages. Also the value packs of bacon taste no different at all to the standard dearer packs and can highly recommend the value tomatoes, the juice is really thick.
I always buy the dried red kidney beans in a packet for around 70p then soak overnight and cook etc as I need them. They last ages and I reckon you get around 10-15 cans worth per bag as they swell overnight when you soak then. Does anybody else buy these?0 -
