  • I must come out in defense of CCStar

I was under the impression these boards are for mutual support. I really don't feel that verbal attacks on someone clearly destressed can ever count as that.

CCStar has posted helpful comments on many of my threads, and those of countless others in another board. She is not a troll, but a very kind individual clearly having a rough time.

I think an apology would be in order (from those who haven't already)

Incidentally, I've reported the abusive posts.

    Dear CC

I am sorry that I upset you - I was trying to show you some moral support.

I don't expect you to post your entire life history but was trying to show that sometimes relationships don't always work out as planned.

I guess I could have chosen my words a little better - like I said I hadn't meant to upset you - please believe me when I say i'm really sorry.

Glad things are looking up for you though - guess I heard you roar now!

    Thank you

It was bad timing after the other two nasty people posted.

Incidently, one of the posters is taking a nasty tone in other posts.

I've just popped over from the OS Board to see what all the fuss is about - I don't post often, but felt I had to in this case because I am so appalled - I too am going through a bad time at the moment with my marriage - from time to time over the past year or so, I've gone on this forum for advice and support and every single time I've either had brilliant advice or just a 'hug'. At Christmas my ex-husband hid all the christmas decs on me - I had offers of 'spares' from all over the country - this is just an example of the kindness of people on MSE.

So what if the OP was an attention seeker (I'm not for a minute suggesting you are!!), sometimes we all need a kind word, so what if the facts ARE wrong (we all get a bit muddled sometimes when we're ranting) - I really don't care. The OP was upset, came on the board for a bit of support, and got slagged off by a couple of losers - I say BAN THEM, we don't need people like that.

No way am I an attention seeker - my situation has been going on for some time and when I opened the post to see my son's debt rising, I felt ill.

I desperately want a quiet life and taking steps to obtain that. I enjoy helping others where I can and hope to be a helpful member of this forum.

I cannot abide the trolls either:mad:

CCstar is not a Troll but a long term poster on another board. A quick look back through her posts will show you that she is not an attention seeking drama queen (we have had a least one and yes I was taken in for a while:mad: ) but a regular poster who happens to being going through a grotty patch.

To read through this one thread and post your judgement of her shows not only a lack of sympathy but a lack of intelligence.

well said math!! i did try to thank you but the gremlins wouldnt let me!!! anyway just wanted to say well said and i thoroughly agree.

I just noticed this and wanted to send CCstar a hug - then noticed your post.

Am I the only one who will be wracking her poor little brain to work out who the self obsessed drama queen was?

    It's not me is it?????

    Elons,

I think everyone who posts on the OS board is now thinking the same!

CCStar, glad things seem much more positive for you today. I hope the current trend of onwards and upwards continues :grouphug:

Yes I have come accross him before - that's why I was trying to help - but I am obviously suffering from foot in mouth today!:o
