ETA The doorbell just went, Tesco have had a system crash as well (don't know how widespread) and they delivered the shopping anyway even though I explained it wasn't paid for, he just said they'd take payment at some point?
I'm pleased that's worked out for you and that you now have your shoppingThe Daleks Reign Supreme, All Hail The Daleks!0 -
Happy birthday. My local 99p store has some real bargains. Boxes of quality chocolates for 99p. If you have one where you live, you can spend a tenner and get a basket full of goodies. I bought a box of chocolates the other day for 99p, that were onsale in a newsagents for £7
We're also living in the £1 and 99p shops, some real bargains (yes some not so) and Iceland as well for food, yes it isn't the greatest but it does the job0 -
As a precaution, we went to the building society and took out some cash yesterday. It seems it was a good idea because a BACS credit into our NatWest account normally in on Saturday, has failed to show up.
Paid a cheque into the BS from our NatWest account to make sure the savings account was replenished immediately. Hopefully, the NatWest issue will have been resolved before the cheque clears.I am a mortgage broker. Does anybody know if updates will be happening all weekend??
The question I'm looking to be answered is that we too were due wages to be showing today and like everyone else's they're not at the moment, so was wondering if they may show later today or tomorrow or will we have to wait till the next working day which of course is Monday?
Thanks0 -
Just a thought, if I use funds that are not mine (go overdrawn) natwest slap charges and interest on me, as they are technically withholding funds of mine, monies that are not theirs, then can I do the same to them?
Other halfs birthday today, had table booked and hotel for after. O well looks like its beans on toast over candle light, and a game of scrabble, who said romance is dead0 -

Have you read any of this thread or watched the news? You can cash up to £300 at a branch, would that not cover your plans?
This is a computer error, they haven't done it deliberately. As it states in your terms and conditions that you will be charged if you go overdrawn, and that no responsibility is taken if natwest systems become unavailable I doubt they will let you charge them.0 -
I've not been able to access NatWest online banking since around 7.30 this morning. Tried both Firefox & IE. Is anyone else having similar problems? There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0

Thanks
The update overnight which was meant to happen this morning is for the next working day, ie Monday so the next working day is Tuesday and the NatWest won't update any payments / credits / debits for then until 2.15am on Tuesday morning. Hopefully.0 -
