My Sky dd is due out today, bet I get cut off and I have phone, Internet and tv with them
No you won't, as normally most sensible major companies will have flagged this issue with their accounts staff, so for all RBS banking group DD payers, they will expect either delayed payment or them having to resubmit the debits.
The people that might have problems, are those that pay their DD's through another bank, but are still affected by this problem. The comments I post are personal opinion. Without appearing nosey how much did you have in there? Did they give you that money on the strength of regular payment in
I have +75 notes in at the mo and Ive asked for another 150 to geek me going till monday as Im on the lash this weekend
i always get paid the same'ish amount every 22nd so maybe they just trust me, i have been there years
but they can look at an internal bacs auudit which shows the payments due to appear in my account (i think) They will no somehwere what needs to go into peoples accounts (they will start running those batches tonight and it will all eventually catch up, as cant do it during day apprantaley) So I may wake up and its in their tomorrow0 -

What makes you think that? And secondly, if tht does happen what happens to our missing money!?0 -
I just called Natwest and they 'assured' me that the issue is solved and my BACS payment that was expected in overnight will be in by Monday (We'll see).
They also confirmed that the underlying issue is resolved and now it's just a waiting game as they clear the backlog.
Unfortunately for some, it's not as simple as a 'waiting game'
They did say that I could withdraw cash from the branch.0 -
Actually, the banks just create money, so this may not result in them going bust. If you havent watched it, watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx0vrR2BFp8&feature=related
This is an example of how fractional reserve banking works. Banks literally create money out of thin air.0 -

Just disappears, never to be seen again. In fact, it never existed in the first place anyway. Difficult to understand, but explained simply here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx0vrR2BFp8&feature=related0 -

Well you are due 8% interest for the no. of days delayed, plus relevant compensation. Start working out what you may be due and get ready to submit your complaint quickly. There will be a few million others doing the same, so get in first. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums.
