Cash deposit over counter in branch Friday still not hit account yet! But not to worry I can go into a branch with my receipt and they will advance me cash.......errrr yeah I love having to pay bus fares/petrol/parking to go to a branch and waste my time that I should be getting paid for! Then what if I have to make a payment on my debit card for a bill, or a dd from my account, or of I had no money to get to a branch?
This is a joke and I will say yet again holding Any/all credits but not debits points to them being hacked!
The way it's gone quiet in the press makes me wonder if a injunction/d notice has been issued!0 -
Looks like the is movement on the payment front, money has left my Ulster Bank account, going by the balance, but it's not showing on the statement.I think it'll take the bank a lot longer to process the payments made over the counter...
Matt1979/jimmyay,this is the what the Ulster are saying; What is the situation with lodgements made to my account?
Electronic payments are being received into accounts but they are delayed. If your salary, pension or welfare payment was due to be paid into your account before Thursday 21st, this is now in your account balance. If you were due to receive your salary via an electronic payment between Thursday 21st and Friday 29th June these may not yet be in your account.
Lodgements of cash or cheques made over our branch counters from Wednesday 20th June are receipted but are yet to be credited to customers' accounts and will be credited as we clear the backlog.
What about my direct debit, will it be paid?
We understand that customers are concerned they might get disconnected from a utility or service provider if their account is not paid. We would like to reassure our customers and those of other banks, that in most cases there will not be any impact. For some of our customers there will be a delay in seeing credits and debits on their accounts, but during this delay we will have paid their service provider on their behalf. In all cases we are working with other banks, service providers, insurance and utility companies to make sure that customers will not be without their services, will not be out of pocket and will not have their credit record affected.0 -

Been into branch today to pay in cheques, I asked the teller what the current situation is, they said all fixed, and everything is back to normal.
By the look of the other thread, I'm not so sure.
I paid in a very large NatWest business cheque in particular, this would normally clear within 24 hours being same bank... I am not hopeful, despite the teller's confidence.0 -
I paid in two cheques on Monday, they said it will take around 5 days to clear, they normally clear quicker than that but at the least they are showing in the account now.0

Weird...If I look at the recent transactions I can see the ATM/Debit card usage but nothing else but if I go to view a statement for the last month,I can only see the Direct Debits & lodgements for the last two weeks & not the ATM or Debit Card transactions...0

Up to 5 days is the norm these days. It used to be up to 3 days but apparently with less cheques being used they don't process them as frequently.0
