Sorry to here so many have had problems :(

I'm one of the lucky ones who haven't encountered any problems with RBS over the whole period :)

I paid in a very large NatWest business cheque in particular, this would normally clear within 24 hours being same bank...

Since last September our same-branch NatWest cheques have no longer been added to the available balance by the following day. I knew about it a little ahead of time as I'd made some reference to it and one of the NW posters said it would be changing then: I was hoping they might be mistaken, but sadly not! :( They were called "house cheques" apparently. They now take the same length of time to show up in the available balance as any other non-NatWest cheques we bank.

It used to be quite nice if NatWest chqs turned up -- specially at the end of a month, say, when funds were depleted after just paying all the suppliers -- as it was treated almost like banking cash; but sadly we don't have that little perk any more!

My list of Direct Debits in the Regular Payment screen has been duplicated. I have DDs marked as May (all now say irregular) then another set marked as June.

Is everyone's else the same? Or should I contact RBS?

Ulster Bank branch in Castlewellan is robbed by gunman

A branch of the Ulster Bank has been robbed at gunpoint in County Down.

A man armed with a gun entered the bank in Upper Square in Castlewellen at about 10:50 BST on Tuesday.

He threatened staff at the branch before escaping with a cash box, which was found abandoned a short distance away.

Councillor Eamonn O'Neill said: "This was a vicious and reprehensible act, especially given the crisis that Ulster Bank customers have been facing."

I noticed cheques are taking an age to show up in my transactions. Is anyone experiencing this? This seems to be recent? Something to do with the recent fiasco or am I just noticing this now? I typically cheque my account daily and never noticed cheques to take so long to show up.

I don't mind if the funds aren't available due to the clearing process but at least show it in my account so I know it's not been lost.

Halifax and First Direct cheque deposits show up same or following working day even if they're yet to clear.

Dont know if it is the same for other Ulster Bank customers but there seems to be some movement on my account today after NOTHING going in or out since this whole fiasco began.

My debit card purchases which I have made the past fortnight have now been listed in my online banking and my balance has been updated to take these purchases into account.

I am still missing one tax credit payment , 2 child benefit payments and my monthly salary but maybe now that the account is updating I will see THIS weeks payments hitting my account on the day they are due - Thursday.....

My Daughter was due a tax credits payment today and it HAS went in ok so thats a good sign.

My Dad used the "live chat" today on the ulster bank site and spoke to an agent to see if he could get any update as he is missing several payments from last week . He was told that they are starting at the END of the backlog of payments and working BACKWARDS which would mean that payments missed yesterday would hit peoples accounts before someone who is missing a payment from say the 1st day this whole thing began...cant see the sense in that myself! It would however appear to be true as a friend whos tax credits were due on Monday just passed received them into her account today yet Im still waiting on last weeks!

Was anyone else due a benefit payment today which went in as planned?
The loopy one has gone :j
