Quite impressed tho, although now I'm thinking they must have a limit they will go to without proof, as they didn't quibble and its now in my account!

Obviously they had a conversation with an Indian call centre.

Yeah be careful if an Indian call centre offers you 5000 as in rupees that's less than £60.

Would you believe Ulster Bank has said this problem will not be fixed this week either, Now bear in mind while 90% of Natwest and RBS customers are seeing movement on there accounts, no Ulsterbank customers have seen any movement since the 19th June.

Yup,they reckon next week now..The fact they're extending opening hours up to & including Friday suggests that.

It's fast looking like I'll have to use the money I left in my account from my last ESA payment, to cover the advance of wages I took over the counter when this kicked off,to live on if my ESA does not go in on time again this week.

Well, that big NatWest business cheque I was waiting for came after a short delay, so that's one weight off my mind. I just have to be brave and pay it into my NW account now...

Everything looks normal for me at the moment, it's shocking really that others are still having problems, particularly at Ulster Bank.

I won't bother asking for anything from NatWest, it's been a bit stressful at times, and apart from some petrol and a bit of interest from other funds I've had to draw on, I'm not really out of pocket. It will, however, make me consider other banking options. I'm sure there will be others in my position who will not go cap in hand for a bit of compensation, but may end up leaving NatWest as a result of this.

OK, I am rather concerned now, I thought this was all sorted - but have just checked, and the DD for my mortgage has not been paid today, have just rung them, she said they are still having problems, and I will need to pay the mortgage co direct via debit card, but if I do that, what happens if the DD then catches up in a couple of days??

Well natwest is certainly not fixed!

Paid in cash through the Wigan branch Friday lunchtime at a counter, lo and behold its still not showing in my account. Just rang to check my balance and there's no sign of it. Instead I was told it will only be processed tonight and show tomorrow.

I paid in a cheque to Natwest in Acocks Green, Birmingham on Saturday and it's not showing on my account yet. Let's hope this is due to the continuing saga rather than they've lost it!

It was being paid into my account, it bounced (even though the other account had sufficient funds). Funds never showed on my account and they debited the money which took me wayy overdrawn and have been that was since last thursday.

Ok that's a bit more tricky.

Did the debit come with a code "CUI"?

The £7,000 cheques i paid in over a week ago from my own company still haven't cleared my current account, despite Natwest promising on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and now today that it would be the next day. God knows what will happen tomorrow if it's not paid .All my DD's and mortgage have bounced, leaving me to run around and make phone calls to all and sundry . i'm so annoyed. What the hell are they doing? This problem is much bigger than they are letting on and is being downplayed i am sure.
