Ulster Bank are still having issues and these won't be resolved until tomorrow (correct at time of posting).

I'm not with Ulster, but unfortunately it's not looking as if UB will be sorted out by tomorrow (although earlier this week that's what they were hoping). It's possible by tomorrow there could be more progress than there has been, and I certainly hope so and that it will be significant, but there do seem to be particularly stubborn issues associated with their systems compared with the rest of the group.

So sorry it's not a better outlook.
The 2nd link given was to the UB site, where it's saying now they don't expect to be up to date by tomorrow.

My cheque bounced too and they debited it from my account without making the funds available. Sent the cheque back to me on Sat aswell. Their cheque clearing is a mess. I agree with above poster.
I rang up to ask when my account would be sorted was told Tuesday, now they are saying the end of the week.
I'm going into branch tomorrow to try and get the £700 debit off my account so I can at least try and pay in a new cheque and get some emergency funds.x

When you say your cheque bounced, how do you mean? Was it a cheque being paid into or out of your account?

Standard practice at NatWest if a cheque you've drawn on your account bounces would be to debit your account on the day of presentation. If funds are not available the system makes a no-pay decision and next business day your account is "recredited". In reality the entry should just disappear from your statement next business day.

So, if a cheque you've drawn presents on a Saturday (Monday in banking terms) it will be showing against your available funds until Tuesday. However in your case am I right in saying there are other problems as well?

Ulster Bank staff are doing overtime until next Friday - what does that tell you?

I am definitely leaving Ulster Bank for sure now. I went to withdraw money twice and had to wait forty minutes in a queue! They don't know when they're going to have this problem fixed.

This week I went to look at a flat and can't pay the deposit or the first months rent because I cannot get into my money.

How comes the other banks fixed their problems faster?

The cheque I paid in last Monday is now showing as at Friday's date (although it wasn't showing ON Friday).
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :j

    RBS One Account

Still screwed up. So they have not fixed.

I guess another advantage of having a One account with the overdraft facility, when they take two transactions by mistake you don't go overdrawn. :)

Still have duplicate transactions and transaction text missing.
    Balance is correct.

I work in IT and have been involved in "Red teams"
After off shore India screwed up and after hardware failures.

I know what the RBS IT team is going through. It's not much fun. I think my record was 37 hours without any sleep. By that point you start to see double and make mistakes. It will take them weeks to get back to normal.

I would love to see the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for this. Plus the lesson learned should be don't off shore your IT it will come back and bite you.

Ulster bank still not up to date,on just checking my online banking I can see that none of the direct debits or cash withdrawls over the counter in branch are still not showing...

Well natwest is certainly not fixed!

Paid in cash through the Wigan branch Friday lunchtime at a counter, lo and behold its still not showing in my account. Just rang to check my balance and there's no sign of it. Instead I was told it will only be processed tonight and show tomorrow. Luckily I kept hold of some cash but any plans I had to book flights and shopping online today are out of the window! No doubt subsequential loss of flights going up in price won't be covered!

I don't believe for 1 second it's a batch processing issue or a it system failure, I'm almost certain they've been hacked and it's been covered up!

I wonder if the millions in profits and bonuses Hester and his cronies will make will also include any profit from interest on delayed payments to accounts?

The government and press are being very quiet about this!
