Well amazingly our debits are now showing BUT a payment that went in last Friday and showed friday and Saturday until 11am has still vanished into cyber space. If they can show debits how come my credit has vanished. Getting more annoyed by the day
Debits & credits are held on different data files. They're having to backtrack and run all the thousands of files with millions of transactions on them one by one. That's why Friday's credit has disappeared - they've had to undo it, run some other data files that were originally ahead in the queue and then, eventually, they'll get around to the file which has your credit on it.
I'm sure all will be well, soonWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
Finally my wages have went in this morning !
I bank with Halifax and my employer banks with RBS/Natwest, they were supposed to go in on Friday.
I had phoned my bank twice previously asking for help but obviously
they weren't prepared to do that. Yesterday when i phoned i asked
to speak to a manager and the member of staff said "no problem we
will get the manager to phone you asap."
I responded by asking "Can you tell me what kind of time-frame can i expect the call because anytime i am told this nobody ever phones back"
I wait for an answer for about 30 seconds and she hangs up on me.
Needless to say if my money hadn't went in today i was going in to my
branch like the tazmanian devil today !! haha0 -
Been trying to get through to my bank now for 2 hours .. still engaged.. :mad:0

Hmm, after thinking everything was sorted, some of my transactions from Friday have disappeared and been retaken today. They were showing yesterday and so I moved some money to savings, now they are showing as taken today and my balance is completely different to what it should be. Bizarre.0

already asked this and branch have said they cannot put a overdraft onto accounts until everything is up and running again
I don't understand the problem. If they are not charging customers who get charges/fees as a result of their error then surely entering in to unauthorised overdraft comes under this.
Unless you've got a basic bank account and need to change bank account to be able to go overdrawn then why do they need to change anything?0 -
Judging by the comments on here I would suggest they are nowhere near 99% fixed of all problems as claimedJuly 2015 Wins- Shaun The Sheep Goody Bag, 4x Books
Year to date: £786
Total to date ( Since 2008 ) = £37,345 :eek:0 -
Not charging somebody is something that can be implemented after the systems are working properly. If they were able to access accounts to organise this now, I suspect there wouldn't even be a problem to solve.
Having said that, all my transactions now appear.0 -
My account appears to be up-to-date now. I made a few debit card transactions on Fri, some of which are down as Fri and some of which are down for yesterday! The actual balance seems correct though and the cheque I paid in on Fri afternoon seems to have cleared today strangely enough (usually doesn't clear until Wed).ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

99% of how many though? If there's a million transactions that were affected then that's still 10,000 transactions to fix if only 99% are fixed and those 10,000 transactions may be mostly payments in to bank accounts and not those out.0
