I'm having major problems getting into my natwest account at the moment. We thought it had all been sorted, stupidly we've just given our natwest bank details to the solicitor who is supposed to be transferring some money to us today, because we believed them (ha!) when they said it was now fixed. *sigh*

In our defence, it looked fixed this morning.

It's taking forever to get onto the main natwest site, but then its just sitting there doing nothing when I try to log in. NOT a happy bunny.

Is the NatWest website down, or is it my turn to be blocked access? :(

Have you tried rebooting your router? (Doesn't work though, if you're on Virgin Media)
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)

It took me about 30 minutes to get in earlier.

Out of interest, I attempted to access the NW site via a proxy, and found that it works normally...

I have now changed IP address, and normal access is restored. Hmmm....

The IP address seems to be the key, so rebooting the router should only work if you are on a dynamic IP address, i.e. one which changes every time you reconnect.

Managed to get in eventually (without resetting router), but it took a lot of time and refreshing of screens. All their web pages are slow, not just the account ones - and some of them aren't working properly. I really hope its simply down to the number of people trying to access their accounts, and not a precursor of more IT problems to come.

My wife is with RBS. She gets paid on 22nd of the month so we checked on Friday - her salary credit was in, balance > £1,800 - phew!

She went to an ATM today and was dismayed to see a balance of < £300.

We checked just now on Internet banking and her salary credit has disappeared.

So it was in and RBS have taken it out again.

    Disgraceful!

I'm with NatWest and am supposed to get paid on Thursday... if it goes in, most of it'll be transferred very quickly to the Nationwide account.

We're off to Spain on holiday on Friday...

I'm not having any access problems either to RBS (wife) or NatWest (me).
  • Random small amounts keep being debited from my balance on my current acc but not showing on full statement but balnce keeps changing, just small amounts but unnerving.
Balance has gone down twice today once by 24p and then by another 8p, just checked again and it's gone down by 4p!!!

We've still not received DH's wages into his Llloyds account from his bosses Natwest account getting desperate now. We followed Martins advice of contacting our bank and was told nothing they can do same as his employer.
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
