The only thing that I know for sure is missing from my balance/statement records online is a lottery win (sadly only a tenner) from last Wednesdays draw which would normally be transferred in by Camelot. I think I'll leave it a couple more days to see if it shows up and if not I'll call them to ask if it's 'stuck' in the system somewhere.

Everything else (I think) looks as it should now.

My missing item is an online lottery one as well. Camelot use RBS to process their transactions I think.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Other halfs cards not working at shops (insert card, reinsert card, reinsert card...), failed at both Mothercare and Morrisons and I'm away for a couple of days. Luckily she has what she needs in the house for now.

DH's company pension is due on 30th and most DDs etc are due 1st of month so worried what will happen if this is delayed.

Managed to log on and transfer some savings to cover DDs but am now paranoid enough to go and check balance at ATM and make sure money is actually in current account as I don't trust anything now.

Have been customers for over 20 years and seriously considering moving accounts or at least keeping as little as possible with them.

  • Called Natwest at Dinner and spoke to lending team about possible charges being refunded and the advised that they have no systems at all even to do a security check. The chap advised that he had no idea what was going on

TBH I doubt that customer facing staff can tell you very much at the moment. If you can face waiting, do that. If you really are worried, then call the helpline (on the website).

I decided to wait and see but my local branch of RBS actually phoned me this morning. They said if I need money to go down to the branch. Money is still not showing up in our account, no pay yet and no sign of the missing standing order either.

An update from RBS Group 12:00 today
    25th June

We’re making progress in putting things right and will keep 1,200 branches open until 7pm 25th June and from 8am-6pm for the rest of the week.
We have arranged for our customers to be advanced cash in our branches when they were missing payments and had no available funds.
All ATMs and point of sale transactions are still available.
All our current account customers who have an RBS, NatWest or Mint credit card in good order can now also:
    • withdraw up to an additional £100 over their limit, with over-limit fees or charges automatically waived or refunded
    • withdraw cash on their card with cash advance fee as well as one months worth of interest waived or refunded

I hate to tell you, but I doubt it very much. I had to wait nearly two months before anyone was even assigned to look into my complaint recently. That was before the current fiasco, so I dread to think how long it will take them now! ;)
