I'm trying to enable a card reader on my account and I'm getting a: "This option is not available at the moment." message.

Does anyone know if this is to do with the current technical issues or if it's something else? Been trying since yesterday ;/

Considering the message I would assume it is to do with the technical issues. :)

  • on Friday PM my account was showing 2 payments scheduled to go out as having gone,,,,,,,,,but this morning they have now disappeared
. So I am guessing my rent wasn't paid and my other half is still waiting for her housekeeping to go in. :-(
  • just looking now all the BACS have worked but no SO's.
  • Still in the minus here and no sign of IS even though it did go in on Friday. Waiting for carers allowance now which is due today but normally in on a Saturday (RBS)

All my DDs, SOs and online payments/transfers are there, so fingers crossed for you that it'll be sorted very soon:o.

EDIT: I transferred a £1 test payment to my Cahoot Credit Card this morning and it has been received, as has a pre-planned transfer which I set up to go out today.

My local RBS was busy this morning with people all saying their tax credits/wages hadn't gone in - and the bank were just giving out cash on demand. Be chaos for days trying to sort this lot out.

The only thing that I know for sure is missing from my balance/statement records online is a lottery win (sadly only a tenner) from last Wednesdays draw which would normally be transferred in by Camelot. I think I'll leave it a couple more days to see if it shows up and if not I'll call them to ask if it's 'stuck' in the system somewhere.

Everything else (I think) looks as it should now.

Checked my account today. Apart from one small missing card payment, all is on there. I think I made this card payment on Friday and it normally shows up by the next working day at the latest. So perhaps this will come through late or have they lost it.

Apologies if this has already been raised. But what will happen in regard to late credit card payments. I paid mine before the problems, but there will be people with late payments and therefore subject to charge, plus adverse markers against their credit records. This is not just the payment going through late because of RBS, but some of the credit card companies use RBS to process transactions. So there will be a lot of late payment issues affecting credit cards.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
