Its not just the media that's been quiet on this Martin Lewis hasn't posted much on the subject on here either.
That's the media that previous posts have noted have been all over the subject like a rash?
And MSE's posts of this Friday, Saturday and today?

BTW - by "credit" in to your account, your pay will be a credit. That's also on a file waiting to be loaded.
AIUI the technical issues relate to the loading (or batch processing) of a number of different data files. There's a piece of software (CA7) which controls the loading of files in the right order and it was a CA7 upgrade that fell over last week. This is why things which have happened like credits are not appearing in accounts - the process which loads that data in to the system is bu88ered.
In addition, what you see on online banking is not what's on the main accounts system. So although you may have "seen" the transfer from one account to the other online, what happens is that the transfer is first debited to the old account and then the credit has be processed to the new account - it's not showing up as the credit data file hasn't be posted to the main accounts system yet.
Hope it completes soon.
Thanks for the explanation.
Would I need to contact my bank or just wait to see?0 -
Ok in the last few mins logged in and the credits up to 21st have now cleared, the DD's now show as cleared (again on the correct days) and the balance at the end of the 21st looks correct. Most of the transactions on the 22nd (in and out) have now also appeared accept for a couple of debit card transactions. So it maybe that they are now running transaction updates in date order?
So balance still not quite correct but hopefully looks like the payments will go through with no charges and interest (off to check with mortgage company to see it they have the money).

Morning Guys,
I got onto online banking this morning and tax credits that should have gone in on saturaday was in, However Interst on my overdraft and my fee for my gold account had gone out on the 22nd when they are set up to come out on the 26th so it has left me overdrawn.
I called Natwest and it seems that epic system fail has effected peoples statement dates.
I also asked how Natwest cant get peoples money into there accounts, but can by the looks of things, debit any money due to the ie interst on an overdraft.0 -
I'm a RBS customer and nothing has been processed on my account since the 20th, including no wages or CB that were both due today. Went to my local branch this morning, shocked that it was dead in there, not a single person! Explained I was due to be paid today and it hadn't gone in, they asked me how much i wanted and handed over £300 no questions asked!0

OK rang mortgage company and their systems show the payment as recieved and show it as paid on the 20th correctly so no interest and charges hurrah!
Just need to check the other payments and await the last few days sorting out.

I'm glad that's sorted Ali. It sounds more promising.0
