My post from here has disappeared. I've been told by rbs my payment due in tomorrow will most likely NOT go in. So that's 4 payments missing. I've been told to write myself a cheque upto £500. Anybody else been told this?0

No pay in today, and the standing order, which was taken out early, leaving us withdrawn, hasn't gone into our bill paying account either.
We're missing over 4k.0 -

Bank with First Direct, employer is with NatWest, still NOT got the pay we should have had last Thursday. This is getting very worrying and inconvenient. I feel NatWest are lying to us about everything. When are we going to get our money ??0

The 'ideas bank' on the NatWest website is acting very strangely, I've just seen 3 comments appear... then disappear!
...a bit like some of the account credits over the weekend!0 -
I made no such implication.
I said that it mainly (note MAINLY) affected those without a buffer zone, in terms of immediate cash needs.
There are other implications, of course, but this was in response to a conspiracy theory which suggested that the bank had run out of funds. Largely speaking there has been no denial of funds by way of cashpoint or debit card except for those people who were expecting credits which hadn't arrived and therefore there was technically no money in the accounts to cover card payments SOs/DDs etc.
As a general point it's been horrible, and continues to be so. But I still maintain that many of the problems have been with those people who have not received credits and have thus been left technically penniless.
Just to add to this, I bank with RBS and haven't had a single problem. But then, I was not expecting any credits.
All normal hereWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
