I was due to get my first paycheque in four years yesterday. Signed off my benefits a month ago and have been borrowing off my family and friends (never a nice thing to do) to get by.

I was excited to finally have some money to myself after I managed to pay the some of the money I owed through selling some of my belongings and was excited to a paycheque all to myself.

Then when my money doesn't come through, I am guessing I am going to have to go borrowing off family again.

Very disappointed in Ulster Bank. I only joined them about four months ago after leaving Santander. I can't go in and take money out because since this is my first paycheque I am not sure if I will get the amount written on the cheque or if my lying weeks are not taken from the amount printed.

I rang up and asked Ulsterbank if they could even tell me if my paycheque was even in the system and had been put into my account (and it wasn't just showing up) but they said they cannot access my account either. When those people can't access the account, it's a bit worrying.

I am also annoyed at some people who are taking advantage of the situation. My sister told me there are people who have accounts with Ulster Bank who don't use them, going into the bank and withdrawing £500 with no intention of paying it back.

First I was told that everything was sorted and everyone should be updated by Monday but now I am being told that Ulsterbank may have to wait until the end of the week. I haven't been this angry in a long time.

Do you honestly think that people will be given £500 and not have to pay it back ? The bank will just debit their account. They might not have any intention of paying it back but they will have to.

Oh they will have to pay it back. That's the problem with the people in my town. Alot of them seem to think they can steal and get off with it. I really do hope that they get punished for it

Excuse me - I will be in the queue tomorrow, beccause I get paid tomorrow and have no way of knowing if this has happened if I can not access my internet!! I then need bills that I need to pay - on the internet.

I have not had internet access for 3 days, I do not know if payments have gone out from last week!

It does seem to be true, it is all over their own website, they are not saying it is not true and the fact that people can access it when using different IP address suggests that it is true.

TCF - treating all customer equally. Being transparent - being open as to why there are issues, when they will be resoled. i.e not saying - the internet is working normally - clearly not. Complaints - everyone has the right to complain about the level of service they are being provided and if they believe it does not fit the service they were originally advised of.
Absolute rubbish. Cant you get off your !!!! and get to a cashpoint to see your balance and recent transcactions? You get paid tomorrow? There are people out there that havent been paid for like 5 days now. And you say you have had no internet access for 3 days now, doing well posting on here then.

Might I also add if you have your online banking details you give the automated service a ring and see what has gone in and out or speak to a CS.

Your going to go down there all guns blazing when you dont know if youve even been affected, laughable!

Also just because it says on their forum people cannot get on with certain IP addresses so what that is their perogative and they no doubt have far more important things to be dealing with like processing the missing payments for millions or transferring emergency cash than replying on a forum

I didn't receive my pay as expected,I am with Rbs. I transferred money from my hubby's bank of Scotland account and this went through fine. Done a bit shopping yesterday but later on in the day they took the money I had transferred back out leaving me with a negative balance. Today I had to get fuel so transferred the last of our money which was enough for school dinners, fuel and to take me back in to a positive balance. Today the transactions haven't come off the balance and I have still not had my pay. We go abroad on thurs and I'm terrified my money won't be in by then :( what a farce.

Someone did paste a free proxy website on Natwest ideas, but I personally not sure how safe this is, so not going to do that.
Yep, you should never access online banking via a proxy, you might as well write your login details on a public bathroom wall.

Most people should be able to change their IP address by simply restarting their modem/router/homehub (the thing that plugs into their phone socket). Use www.whatismyip.com before and after to check.

This does not work on Virgin Media though.

As above I don't think the bank have made any promises to say there will be 'blanket' refunds for non-customers.

Each case will be looked at individually, on it's merits.

Basically they just made that comment to make themselves look good and have no intentions of paying refund to any non-customers, each non customer that asks in branch will be fobbed off with some excuse.

    Two points -
[1] The problem isn't DUE to outsourcing - it's due to human errors.

I hope the people responsible for this error loose their jobs!
