What are the chances this will be sorted by tomorrow? I think im secretly convincing it will be to keep myself sane!!lol
are you sure they said non customers?
The quote I saw said something like they acknowledge how badly effected customers and non customers were and they wanted to assure customers they would not be out of pocket.0 -

online? if so they it may just been that the whole online system is still flakey from high demand.0 -
Online don't work. I'm not getting timed out though as if lots of people are accessing it. It looks like the websites been taken down to me altogether. Unless someone else can access it.0

The process is that you go to a NW branch, with proof of what charges you have incurred.
The NW staff member will take the details and email them to a team that has been set up to deal with non-NW customers.
Each case will be looked at individually.
Hth.
As above I don't think the bank have made any promises to say there will be 'blanket' refunds for non-customers.
Each case will be looked at individually, on it's merits.0 -

Have just logged in & looked at all my accounts and they appear to be up to date at the moment. I'm using Google chrome, although I don't think that should make any difference.
However, when you get in, have a search for transactions on 20th June - mine showed everything that has happened since then until now!
Have just done a transfer which has gone through immediately too.0 -

I must admit that I would rest easier if I knew that NatWest were going to employ 'proper' in-house staff to maintain their computer systems.
Thoughts?
[1] The problem isn't DUE to outsourcing - it's due to human errors.
[2] Outsourcing has advantages and disadvantages. I suspect that more and more financial institutions will do it, claiming that it is cheaper by avoiding having to staff and run their own full-time IT department. The demand for IT development staff in particular will vary from time to time. The obvious disadvantage is the loss of experience of existing staff, but this has become less of a factor because people don't stay in the same job so long these days.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -

What error message are you getting?0 -

Been on Natwest ideas section and apparently their IT are blocking certain IP addresses.
Personally this sort of behaviour is worse than original error.
Think they've forgotton their TCF guidelines!0 -
My thoughts: a lot of Natwest techies must be flying between London, Edinburgh, and Mumbai at the moment. All the mainframes, servers, core software, and systems engineers are in probably in India. It takes 1-2 days for a person to get to India and the same to get back again, and I would think that fixing this problem calls for a lot of face-to-face meetings that can't be done on Skype. That's probably why it's taking so long.
Quite clearly dont work in IT then0 -
On Chrome I'm getting
Error 107(net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error.
On Internet Explorer and Firefox, just website not available.0
