Seems hit and miss.0 -
I've been fine using my debit card during the whole thing, I think it might depend on what his balance was when it started or his he relying on credits going in the last couple of days? If so I guess it might not recognise he has enough money in there.0

I can only speak for my own experience and I've had no trouble using my card on Thursday, Friday or today in several shops and supermarkets as normal. No-one mentioned anything untoward and the payments went through as normal and most of Thursday and Friday's are showing on my statement - admittedly not all but sometimes that happens anyway.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

I assume that some people here are aware that the current NatWest problems are due to technical being outsourced, etc (at least, that's the case as far as I've been able to determine).
I must admit that I would rest easier if I knew that NatWest were going to employ 'proper' in-house staff to maintain their computer systems.

Thoughts?
My thoughts: a lot of Natwest techies must be flying between London, Edinburgh, and Mumbai at the moment. All the mainframes, servers, core software, and systems engineers are in probably in India. It takes 1-2 days for a person to get to India and the same to get back again, and I would think that fixing this problem calls for a lot of face-to-face meetings that can't be done on Skype. That's probably why it's taking so long.0 -

Natwest have said that they wll make sure no one is out of pocket.. including non customers of natwest who have been affected by this! Not sure if some one else has already said, but pu my mind at rest a little..
What are the chances this will be sorted by tomorrow? I think im secretly convincing it will be to keep myself sane!!lol

Seems the latest fix they applied has screwed it up even more. Cannot check balance at all now.0
